I used to live around here, and this was the closest coffee shop to my house. So, obviously, I had to try it a few times.
Awesome people working there. Absolutely 100% good people. They were always super attentive and fast.
I just wish the coffee was as excellent as the staff. I really thought maybe it was just the first time, but every time I got coffee here it was either sour or burnt tasting. Didn't matter if I got milk/oat milk, cappuccino/cortado/latte. Nothing seemed to change the taste of the espresso base. I don't know why, whether it was the beans or the pull they use, but it never seemed to change.
It is good for a caffeine pick-me-up in the morning as long as I don't pay too much attention to the taste.
I was also always kinda disappointed how fast they sold out of their breakfast, on those special "pop up"(?) days. Sometimes, I would go extra early and still never got to try one. Those were about the only times the staff were a little off. When I asked if they would be making more, one guy just shrugged at me and turned his back. Basically, "Too bad for you." Which I thought was rather dismissive. I get that it's probably quite annoying to have customer after customer complain that you are already out, but I mean, when you promote it so much and then order so little, and they're obviously so popular, I would think you just have to roll with the complaints a little better.
Otherwise, it's very decent café and it's good to have it in the...
Read moreFirst of all, dogs are not allowed in the backyard here but the real problem is how we were treated when we simply asked about it.
We opened the café door to politely check if dogs were allowed. The barista — a short woman with short hair — immediately frowned and shouted multiple times, “Dogs are not allowed anywhere in this café,” even though we weren’t even inside.
If you work in the service industry, kindness should be rule number one. A respectful way to respond would have been something like:
“Oh, I’m sorry, but dogs aren’t allowed. You’re welcome to order and sit at the front where we have chairs. Sorry for the inconvenience your dog is adorable.”
Instead, what we got was unnecessary rudeness, hostility, and a complete lack of basic courtesy. The interaction was so aggressive that I can’t help but wonder if there was more to it perhaps they treat diverse customers differently.
If you care about respectful treatment, inclusivity, and basic decency in the places you support, I strongly recommend avoiding this café. In my opinion, their values seem to be: No dogs, no respect, no diversity, and shouting...
Read moreGood stuff. Staff friendly, coffee is good quality. Bad stuff. Pricey (but at least the coffe was good) but biggest problem is coffee was not hot. I went in first day and had left 1 minute before tried the coffee and it was Luke warm. Second day I told the girl behind the counter that my coffee was not hot the day before and could she please make sure that it was very hot today. Unfortunately it still was not. Apparently I have to tell here to steam the milk.... Normally when I go to a coffee place and specifically ask for my coffee to be hot... they just know what to do? I don't think I should have to go beyond asking for hot coffee. That said, it was hotter than the first day and honestly the coffee was delicious. So if you go here be sure to tell them how to make your coffee very specifically and you will get a good...
