My father went to pizza pizza today, he’s a regular customer of pizza pizza. Never once faced an issue with the food and employees at various locations.
Often times he has went inside pizza pizza to use to the washroom with no purchase necessary. However at this location they refused to allow him in, saying it’s for “customers only”. After requesting multiple times, the employee at the front was quite rude and did not let him go through.
It quite angered me. I later on searched up the policy and on the website it clearly states “Pizza Pizza must comply with the Ontario Human Rights Code, which mandates that businesses make their facilities and services accessible to people”.
Washroom is a facility and service that can’t be denied. For that, I believe this location has lost my business. They were quite judgemental and nasty to my father, which I won’t tolerate. It really deters people from shopping there. As a customer service worker myself, I urge Pizza Pizza to do better and train their staff much better. I order from pizza pizza every sat for a group of 12 people and have done for 2 years and I have to say the customer service is absolutely atrocious as well as the food we received . I understand pizza pizza isn’t the pinnacle of amazing food but they should be consistent. The past few times we have ordered from this particular location we have had issues and just let it slide because it was convenient and my staff love pizza. This time was the straw that broke the camels back.
The food was over cooked to the point were it looked like it would make people feel unwell. When we called the company they were not understanding and would not refund on top of that they hung up on me which is never except-able especially when i was non confrontational and explained myself very nicely. If you order from this place, they will demand pre-payment over the phone. I don’t think any other pizza place does this it’s just super sketchy. Lived at the same location for like 10 years order from here occasionally this is the first time I’ve had them ask for pre-payment over the phone.
The whole interaction I just had with one of those call staff was just super weird if they don’t do deliveries, they pay when they get here. I think wouldn’t they switch over to one of the apps?
And what kind of made me sketched out more is that I couldn’t even talk to the store I asked apparently it’s against some policy or something so I have to trust this guy with my card information to give to the store. That’s too many people whole interaction was just super sketchy gave off the impression that if I gave him my card, I would be scammed.
