Always wondered how plant based chicken options are here at Rouge and if they are cooked separately. I asked the individual and he politely agreed to clean and cook the vegan Chik’n tenders separately and also use new brushes to flavour the tenders so as not to cross contaminate. Thank you. The Chik’n tenders are surprisingly good. The BBQ flavoured is bit on the sweeter side. The garlic flavour is much better - a bit spicy but not overly spicy. The garlic taste is subtle and not overwhelming. The brown rice is good and various toppings were nice. Would have preferred some more sauce in the rice and veggies. The service was very good. There is no up-charge for the vegan Chik’n which is appreciated. Definitely will come back here or at other locations as long as they make efforts not to cross contaminate.

Walked by Poulet Rouge while exploring The PATH, and it is located at the food court area of Simcoe Place. Although they 'close' at 5pm, the shop remains open to take in food delivery orders. It was quite busy in person and with deliveries. We wanted a quick snack before dinner, so we opted in for Rouge Mini (2 chicken strips, 1 base, 1 sauce and 3 toppings) with sweet bbq chicken strips, quinoa, sweet zaatar, and corn/tomato/cucumber. Overall, it was quite satisfying. Everything was tasty, and the sauce was just right! Poulet Rouge uses chicken breast over an open grill. The food court area is super bright and clean. Staff is always friendly and efficient with service.

You don’t usually expect standout service at a fast-food spot, but Johnathan and Jesse crushed it. They were friendly, fast, and actually seemed to enjoy what they do. The order was perfect, the place was spotless, and they made the whole experience way better than it needed to be. It’s rare to walk into a quick-serve place and feel like someone actually cares, but these two made it happen. Huge shoutout to both Poulet Rouge needs more people like them. I’ll definitely be back.

  • 3rd update I must say, your service was impeccable. I went on Friday. My two orders were incorrect but with were fixed immediately. The staff apologized a few times. As well, there seemed to be improvement of the issues I had brought up previously. So, good job. Back to 5 stars

  • update 1 months later Seems to have improvement on the over-cooked experience. However, the two recent times I went,

  1. there was sand in either the rice or the quinoa. Not the kind of crunch that I was expecting. Please wash the grains better!
  2. the chicken breasts still have the tough membrane attached. Would be nice if they were removed... but may be too much to ask for?
  • first review **" Fresh ingredients. Good flavors. Price is competitive. Friendly staff. My only complaint is that the chicken are often overcooked. So,...
