What started as a quick afternoon snack turned into a delightful full meal, all thanks to the amazing ambiance, food, and service at this charming restaurant. We initially planned to stop by for just a quick bite, but the cozy, inviting atmosphere and the mouthwatering aromas quickly convinced us to stay for more. From the moment we arrived, Mark, our server, made us feel right at home. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, he took the time to explain the menu and offered great suggestions. He had a knack for knowing just when we needed something without being intrusive, making the entire experience feel personalized and seamless. We kicked things off with the calamari, and it was absolutely fantastic. Fresh and crispy, the golden rings practically melted in your mouth with each bite. Perfectly seasoned and served with a zesty dipping sauce, it was a light yet flavorful start that set the tone for the rest of the meal. Next, we tried the Margherita pizza, and it was an authentic Tuscan masterpiece. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, topped with fresh, tangy tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and a drizzle of olive oil. The highlight? The unique experience of scissor-cutting your own pizza! It was such a fun, interactive touch that added to the overall charm of the meal. We truly felt like we were enjoying a piece of Italy right here in Toronto. For pasta, we had two dishes that were absolute winners: the Pesto Alfredo pasta and the Spicy Vodka Rigatoni. The Pesto Alfredo was a creamy dream, with the earthy flavors of basil and garlic blending perfectly with the rich Alfredo sauce. The Spicy Vodka Rigatoni was a little spicy but balanced beautifully with the fresh, tangy tomato base. Both dishes were incredibly fresh, with the pasta cooked to perfection, offering a satisfying bite in every forkful. By the end of the meal, we were completely satisfied – and a little surprised at how we had come in for a light snack but ended up indulging in a full-on feast. The combination of excellent food, a warm atmosphere, and outstanding service made for a truly memorable experience. We’ll definitely be back next time we're in Toronto!

Amidst the choas of downtown Toronto, Scaddabush provides a calm, welcoming atmosphere perfectly suited for relaxing and enjoying a quality meal. I was introduced to this restaurant by my friends and safe to say, I was not disappointed. At the registary station we were greeted warmly and were lead to our table. Menu options were laid out nicely and the waiter was knowledgable enough to thoroughly answer questions about them. He occasionally checked in on our table to see if we needed anything and made sure we had everything. The wait time for the food and drinks we ordered weren't too long, although it couldve been improved. Presentation of food and quality of it was nothing short of amazing. Portions were satisfactory, price wasn't too bad considering it was the happy hour, and the taste was beyond expectations. Personally, the food was among the most enjoyable Italian cuisine I've had. The two reasons resulting in a one star deduction were lack of quality consistency in the chairs, and a slight confusion at the time of our arrival. We entered from the in-door entrance and didn't see any station to wait at in order to be seated. We wandered around the restaurant looking for an employee or waiter to ask and see what we should do. After a few minutes, we were lead to another door where there was a station to be registered at. A sign along the lines of "please enter from door A" or "go to door A to be seated" would be beneficial to reduce confusion. To add on to that, the chairs were inconsistent in quality, meaning out of the 4 chairs at our table 2 had cushions and were newer, 2 had no cushions and had minor damage/wear, leading to a reduced level of comfort. Regardless of the small issues, I can safely say Scaddabush has been added to my list of potential destinations for a casual and enjoyable get-together.

I went to this one since I saw the great reviews, but sadly it was a really bad experience. Service was ok-ish but i dont blame them ( it was family day and it was packed) but still it was a bit slow. My appetizers came first and then my cocktail arrived. The restaurant is too cramped that you can hear everyones conversation. The food - Truffle and balsamic mozz- nothing great, the mozz was good but the bread were a bit cold and not properly toasted, it lacked flavour to compliment the Mozzerella. Carbonara Suppli- This is something i would eat if I am drunk. The balls were dry on the inside and still very doughy. I expected a creamy filling but it was too dry. Mushroom and Truffle Mafalde- The seasoning was missing and the pasta was dry. Alfredo sauce is supposed to be creamy and rich but this was only rich as all we saw was a lot of butter. The steak- I had ordered a Med- Rare and i got a well done / burnt steak. the server got it changed immediately, but the the next steak i got was practially raw ( blue steak ). It almost felt as if my complaint about the steak was not well recieved by the chef ( JK - but thats what i felt). I didnt bother to complaint since i was done. 3 cheese Gnocchi - again too dry - flavour is good and if it had more sauce it would have been finished. Tiramisu- This is was really bad, tiramisu is supposed to be light fluffy and lightly sweet with a touch of coffee, whereas this felt more like bread with condensed milk. Sugar overdose. Final verdict- Im sure this was just a bad day as well all have bad days but after spending 140$ for 2 people it was not worth it. The service was also not that great as I feel that a good server is supposed to read table well. I have went to restaurants where the food was bad but the server made us feel seen and was apologetic towards us and made me feel like giving that place another chance, but not this one.

Recommend this place for great ambience, location, drinks, and vibes. Food? Some items, not all. ------------------- • Food • Pasta 🧀🍄 - I got their mushroom truffle mafalde pasta. As a huge mushroom & creamy pasta sauce lover, I was really excited to try this. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. ❌ my pasta was cold, ❌ not all dente (I had to chew quite a lot and push it down), ❌ the sauce to pasta ratio was not good (minimal sauce) ✅ yes the mushroom and onion sauce tasted nice, sweet, and creamy. Pizza 🍕 - I did try their margherita pizza which was good, the bread was flat and crispy on the edges and the sauce to mozzarella ratio was good. Salad 🥗 - My friends got Caesar salads with chicken and they too were a little disappointed with their meals. Their chicken was dry. So, I'd recommend doing their pizzas over pastas. You can also request their chilli oil which wasn't really that spicy. ----------- • Atmosphere & vibes 🛋️ ✨ • We sat outside and had a great view of the CN Tower from our table. They do have indoor seatings (table, bar, and booth style) as well. They had awesome music playing too. ------------------ • Service 👩🏻🍳 • So unfortunately the day we went, their systems were down. So it meant a little bit of wait for orders to get to the kitchen & inability to split the table bill. Otherwise the service was alright. ----------------- • Cost • So the pasta dish cost 25$, the pizzas & salad were somewhere between 17-23$ with additional protein source $$. The price to portion to quality ratio IMO, was so-so. Yes it was a little expensive for the pasta and salad, the pizza I'd say was justified. -------------------

Well we made it to Toronto and I wanted to get some Carbonara and lucky enough right across from our hotel was this little jem. Our servers Kyle and Micheal were awesome. Super friendly and get to converse with. I had of course ordered the carbonara I wanted and Alex got the Diavolo pizza. I have spoken about carbonara in past reviews. Always the best was from that little restaurant in Peru. But I have now found a rival. This place literally had me going wow I need more of this. I ate the whole bowl and loved every bite. I loved cutting into the egg on top that was cooked in just the right way it melted over the pasta. It looked so good I forgot to take a pic till I was down to almost the end and Alex remained me to get at least one. It’s that good. Alex got her pizza and this is little weird for us. It came with scissors. It was a little hard to cut up. But not to bad. It tasted great but the bottom was a charred a little over our liking too. The toppings are really evenly placed so you do get a good bite in every bite. After we had the nicest of chocolate cakes. I was rich and with the whipped cream just fantastic for after the meal. I recommend to the highest you have to try their Carbonara. You will walk away thankful for the experience of having a pasta so good. Edit: we had to come back I wanted that Carbonara once more. It was just as good as the first time. Alex went with the Chicken Gnocchi and said it was fantastic. I didn’t try as I was going hard into the carbonara. Want to thank Jesus for serving us. Was awesome talking some Star Wars with him. Two things I love carbonara and Star Wars lol.

When you have a friend coming to visit Toronto, you are sure to pull out all the stops to impress her. Having planned an afternoon at the Royal Ontario Museum, I needed a lunch that would prepare my friend for the fascinating afternoon that lay ahead, and Scaddabush (200 Front St., Unit G001, Toronto, ON M5V 3J1) came through! An open-concept eatery that blends modernity with tradition, this place makes you feel right at home while serving a delicious Italian lunch! Onto what we ordered! The avocado bruschetta was a delightful appetizer, starting with crispy focaccia topped with ripe Roma tomatoes and creamy slices of avocado. The goat cheese added a rich, tangy twist that perfectly complemented the freshness of the ingredients - my personal favorite touch. Finished with a drizzle of basil oil and a sprinkle of chives, each bite was a deliciously sophisticated experience. What truly impressed my friend (and me) though was the pesto pollo penne. The dish was a mouthwatering blend of baby spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, and roasted garlic, all tossed in a creamy basil pesto Alfredo sauce and topped with Parmesan and fresh basil. My friend, who is a vegetarian, was thrilled to find that the restaurant happily accommodated her dietary restriction by removing the chicken without compromising the dish's flavor. We were genuinely impressed by their flexibility and attention to detail, which made our meal even more enjoyable.
