I’m so impressed! I ordered tonight on Uber Eats, and it was my first time trying out this new location. Let me tell you, it was WELL worth it!! The 2 for 1 curry chicken bowl special for delivery was so delicious! The portion size was HUGE — one bowl served me and 2 of my children. Everything was so fresh, and the flavours all complimented each other so well. The coleslaw and ‘Scotty Rice’ was satisfying even on its own! The curry chicken was so moist and seasoned well. The kids said it had a bit of heat to it, but as an adult who likes spice, I felt it was mild and perfect for a curry chicken dish. I also ordered 1 stuffed patty with coleslaw, tomato, ‘Scotty pickle’, and mild sauce. No complaints at all. Patty was crispy and flaky on the outside — even with all the toppings. Inside was juicy and hot! Coco bread was soft and fresh. I’ll be adding cheese next time, but I wish it wasn’t an extra cost! Read moreI recently placed an order from this restaurant through Uber Eats. The estimated wait time displayed before checkout was 5–15 minutes. However, immediately after placing the order, the app updated the wait time to over an hour. I canceled the order within one minute, yet I was still charged the full amount.
What’s particularly concerning is that Uber Eats does not clearly inform users in the app that canceling an order—even within moments—will still result in a full charge. According to Uber Eats support, restaurants receive full payment for all canceled orders, regardless of whether they’ve been prepared or not.
I reached out to the restaurant to explain the situation, and although the staff confirmed the order hadn’t been started, they still refused to provide any assistance or resolution. While I understand they are technically not at fault for Uber's platform issues, retaining full payment for an unfulfilled and unprepared order is unacceptable.
This experience has been extremely frustrating. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again and strongly advise others to be cautious when using Uber Eats, especially given the lack of transparency around...

I Recieved a call from the driver saying ,he was at the Scarborough location and they said they might have all the food for the order. He said he would call back if they can't fulfill the order. Then I got a second call. He put who was working that night on the phone to let me know they had run out of rice and beans. They gave me another option which I didn't want. I said to just cancel. I got off the phone and cancelled with uber. I didn't get a refund from uber because the restaurant had not cancelled the order. Now I'm out $22. I'm wondering why the order was accepted or why it didn't say on uber eats that they couldn't take orders because they ran out of food? I feel like I was purposely ripped off.
