Located on the Queensway, a 20 minute bus ride from Keele Station on the 80 bus—according to Google it should have taken 35 minutes but it was much quicker (no traffic and the driver did not stop at all stops). Spoon and Fork was situated right next to Mandarin and very close to a Japanese AYCE. Dinner event was an intimate dinner with friends who were leaving Canada for good at the end of the month—a solemn event but nice and cozy. The menu wasn’t crazy extensive yet there were more than enough choices. $30 allowed you access to the appetizers, sushi, sashimi, handrolls, grilled foods, foods from the wok, noodles, rice dishes and soft serve ice cream for dessert (which was very good, choices were vanilla, chocolate and twists). Noted items on the sashimi list: Unagi was an option which you rarely see. My favourites Ika (squid) and Tako (octopus) were also available. The egg was surprisingly quite good—salmon was nice but nothing extraordinaire. Noted appetizer was the escargots—they were quite good, could use a bit more garlic but good nonetheless. Agadashi Tofu was done very well. Friends commended the crispy beef and we all enjoyed the calamari. The bok choy and garlic and the Chinese broccoli dishes were sized well for one person and good as well, a bit salty but decent. Friends loved the teriyaki beef which looked great, a bit pink on the inside suggest texture was not over cooked and chewy. Kalbi on the other hand was too fatty and chewy. The pad see ew was not great. I wouldn’t recommend that. However, all noodles you were given a choice of: beef, chicken, shrimp or vegetables. All in all, choices were good and fulfilling. The Rolls selection has over 20 options which were great however, each came with 8 pieces and would only work for groups that can share the rolls. It was very busy and recommended is to make reservations unless queuing is your thing 😬😂 I would definitely come back and try out the rolls!

We had a suboptimal dining experience here. The interior is nice, as well as the service, although the food was abhorrent. Compared to other sushi all-you-can-eat restaurants, Spoon & Fork offered a limited selection of dishes plus no dessert, which in addition were basic and unoriginal. There is not anything unique about the food. The sushi rice was undercooked and too sticky, the tempura was hard and dry, the coconut shrimp and salmon pizza too as if they were left in a fridge for too long. Fried calamari was tough and difficult to eat, the Thai spring rolls were bland and stale, I could tell the fish was not fresh in some sushi rolls as they were mushy to the touch + lacked vibrancy, the Basil fish was very very very salty, they were food you would order from a substandard take-out restaurant but as this is a buffet I expected more. The food generally lacked much flavour, character, and authenticity and had nothing to offer. I am honestly estimating that their food is cooked with low-quality ingredients. It is challenging to make a delicious dish with low-quality ingredients. As a home chef they were dishes that could easily be replicated at home. For the food quality, the prices were disproportionate. The only dishes that I was somewhat satisfied with were the Chef’s Special Salmon and White Tuna tataki. Otherwise, I would not revisit this restaurant nor recommend this place for anyone. Two out of three guests from our party vomited after our meal. Our waiter did not inform us that we were looking at the dinner menu either. We had a child in our party but they charged an adult price without inquiring her age. Just a heads up for anyone considering this location for a sushi lunch or dinner and feedback for the chef here. Photos below.

I came here with my family. This place is used to be very good and popular but not any more. I found the food quality is not as fresh and not many choices. We love sashimi but we only order 1 dish because we found they are not tasty. The server was nice since she keep asking us if we want anything else. We finished 95% of the food and left few sashimi on the plate but one of the server said we need to finish 100% otherwise they will charge for the food left over. I found it’s so funny since we didn’t order a lot and we try to eat all. But I told her that the food is not fresh, we don’t want to over eat and get sick when we get home. Anyhow, they even call the manager to come out to explain about the food cost is very expensive so they try to enforce the policy to all customers. We didn’t want to argue in front of our parents and our kids so me and my brother just split all the food left over to make them happy. Hahaha, we even give tips after all the trouble. We are not so smart. Are we coming back? FOR SURE NO WAY. We have many sushi restaurant in Toronto to chose from. TO MANAGEMENT: please be flexible and the customers are still the one who pay the bills, so make them happy instead of pissing them off. By the way, I hate to give bad review since most of my review is 5*. But in your case I want to share my experience so that you guys can improve and get better.

Celebrating a birthday but experiencing bad service. We came here to celebrate my aunt Birthday. Now I had patronized their Vaughan location (now closed) before and chose here based on that experience but this was totally different and not great in any way. We were a group of 8 ladies at no point when we were seated we were advised that the tip will automatically be included in our bill. Ok so now I thought it would be where we have a tablet at the table and place our orders but no you had a menu and had to keep flagging down the server to order. When we ordered they keep placing the dishes to one end of the table everything was confusing half the table was eating while the other half was lucky to get a few dishes. Half the stuff we ordered never came. Then when we realized what was happening and tried to order more it was hard to find a server. Then when we did we were advised kitchen was closing and it's last call. The food was ok nothing extraordinary I've been to better they didn't even have dessert. The bill came and the lady was like tip is already included I didn't get to look at it properly cause the waitress is there with the machine wanting payment I glanced at the bill and saw the total on the bill was 201.00 thinking tip was already included tell me why my card was charged for 231.27. Oh and here's the ringer she took that itemized bill away i didn't get a copy. Why was the tip not added on the bill prior to charging what makes them think they deserve 15% and not 10% when in all honesty they didn't event deserve 10% with the service we got. So in total they took $60.00 in tips from our whole table for poor service. We were upfront made sure they knew who were on what bills even sat according to that for their ease and at no point were we ever told the tip will automatically be on the bill. Never again will I go or recommend here. You want all you can eat and good service check out K&B sushi or Wind fusion restaurant they have better food options including dessert and great service at about...

I was really looking forward to providing a complete review about this location. But everything was trumped by seeing a MOUSE in the dining room.

The service was lacking. It started as we came in and asked how many were in our party. We answered and she walked away and didn't come back. Someone else came and asked how many and then sat us. We were a party of 2 and chose to do the tasting menu. I prefer when you get a tablet to order as you like. Here the waitress comes and asks what you want. But in this case, we always had to catch her as she was going by. She wasn't there and ready for us to order more. We definitely did not get our money's worth. We had to re-order a number of items because they never came out. And there was a mouse in the dining room.

The food was sub par from what Spoon & Fork used to be. The food was tasteless and had no flavour. I didn't like the sweet and sour chicken but I had to eat it as they make sure that you do. Otherwise, they will charge you for a la carte pricing. I left one piece of chicken on the plate and the waitress asked me accusingly-you're not going to eat that? It was not like other places where the food keeps coming and you leave feeling full and satisfied. Did I mention there was a mouse in the dining room?

And finally, after we paid our bill, I saw something moving out of the corner of my eye and looked. It was a MOUSE. In the dining room. It came out of the corner of the upper level by the stairs. If there is one mouse, there are many we can't see. I told the waitress. She said: "Oh." and walked away. I wanted to mention it to the management but he walked into the back when he saw me coming. I know that food places have pests. BUT there is also pest control. And to see the mouse in the dining room is terrible. I felt disgusted. And even more disgusted about how much I paid for my bill.

I will never come here again. Besides the low food quality and lack of taste, to see a mouse in the dining room was the last straw. Ew. This place...

When I came here with my friend, we noticed some of the food was good, but some awful. Some of the food we liked was the maki sushi, which you can’t really mess up. But some of the fish on the maki was a bit stale. The tuna and salmon sashimi ordered by itself, was good. The egg roles and coconut shrimp were decent, but I noticed the coconut shrimp had gotten worse over the years. I came here 3 years ago, and the shrimp was bigger, and there was a lighter coat of bread and coconut on them. Now they taste a lot like the cheaper ones you buy from the grocery store. The rice and noodles were ok, and the chicken and beef in many of the dishes were decent, but nothing special. The crispy beef was awful!! You’re basicly getting no beef, just dry hard bits of bread with sauce. The beef tartare was kind of gross. The pictures online show a thicker cut of meat. You’re only getting very thinly sliced raw cuts of cold beef. Wasn’t that great. But hey some people seem to like it online. I guess it’s an acquired taste. The beef satay is gross. It was really fatty pieces of beef, that I couldn’t chew. I remember when I had ordered this in the past, it was edible. Not sure what happened. The service is fine, nothing special. They bring you what you order. I did notice that when you ask for a certain amount, they don’t always bring you that amount. I guess it’s their way of trying to get you to eat less for the 40 dollar price tag of ayce. If you order too much food, you can see the disdain in their faces. It’s kind of comical. I always bring my appetite to ayce sushi places, so I get my moneys worth. The drinks are good. The dessert is good, but really small. This place is still better than the mandarin that’s right next to them. I’ve been told there are a lot of better places for ayce sushi than this one, but I don’t mind this place as it offer a lot of Thai food along with the sushi. Overall, a decent place to eat, but don’t expect anything...
