This has been my go-to spot in scarborough for the last 10+ years. However, since the new owners took over this place has gone downhill. In the last 3-4 years the service has been terrible. Yesterday, I went to try this place again (for the Leafs/Bruins game 7).
I called to see if there were any seats available (for 2 people) the lady said she will keep a table for me. I went there and they gave me the worst table in the place (Problem #1 - You don't know your customers). When I got there the hostess said its a "Ufc night" so you need to spend a minimum $30 (per person) (Problem #2-You can't say that to customers). Then, I asked the hostess can we get a better table (as there were a few empty tables) and she said no. I even asked to sit at the bar and she's like that's for the people who want to watch the games. She said the empty tables were reserved in advance (Problem #3-A lot of people left during the game, so there were empty tables throughout the game lol). People came later to watch the game and got the better seats. This is just sitting down.
We placed an order for nachos. However, the waitress (Erin) gave us the bigger order (which is for 2-4 people) instead of the personal nachos (1-2 people). I did make sure to say 'personal nachos' (Problem #4- You messed up the order). Also, if there are 2 kinds of nachos why would you assume we wanted the bigger portion that feeds 2-4 people when we were 2 people. The nachos came, but they didn't provide any cutlery on our table. The taller one girl with glasses (she answers the phone) said ok and never came back (Problem #5- You have no teamwork). The one waitress was really busy-that's why I asked the other girl. The waitress that was busy was serving and also pouring drinks too (Problem #6-There is no organization). I asked 3 times before I got the cutlery when the nachos were 90% done lol. She handed me 2 forks (Problem #7-sanitary). Then I ordered wings. They came out fast and were good, but I asked for "all drums" and I got all flats lol (Problem #8- You didn't provide any plates for the bones, plus you messed up the order). When the bill came and I asked about the nachos the waitress said the personal nachos were a new item (1-2 month ago) and people don't usually ask for personal nachos. I was there in February (3 months ago) and they had the personal nachos lol (Problem #9-Lying to a customer).
Our waitress was very busy with tables and pouring drinks, but still messed up the order even though she is writing it down. The food was good. I'm not sure what the other front staff were doing. I overheard one waitress literally said "i don't know what to do".
Overall, you guys have run this place into the ground over the last 4 years. The only thing that saving you is the food right now. I only came here as a last resort and you treated me like I was cheap (I still spent $45+tip btw). You don't know your customers, and don't know how to provide customer service, or just how to treat people in general, and you don't know how to operate this business. Your bar was 60-70% full for the UFC- so you shouldn't tell people what to spend because obviously no one is trying to come here. With in the 90minutes we asked when our food was coming a few times, waitress kept saying sorry and would check. Some wings arrived but wasn’t ours so they took it back a couple times and the 3rd time I suggested to our group take whatever comes and eat it, we were so hungry after waiting 90min lol. So we waited 90min to finally receive 4lbs of wings that actually wasn’t even the flavour we ordered also we ordered 9lbs total, we ordered refills right away. I suggested to the group if our refills or other orders don’t come with in 20min, I suggest we pay for the 4lbs which is about 50$ bill and leave to other restaurant, our total original bill should be around 150$ Manager or owner came with in 10min around and assessed the situation and wrote down our original order. I mentioned to the manager or owner that after 90min waiting any wings coming to our table next we would eat it even if it wasn’t ours, he didn’t look happy but seriously as a customer waiting 90min for wings this is pretty bad. Most of our group didn’t pay tip but I still gave a little even though I will never go to this location ever again. After I paid I asked the waitress what happened and why it took 90min for our food ? She replied something wrong with printer… ok. I was chatting with our group, let’s say it was the printer issues but why didn’t the waitress notice we didn’t receive any food for 90min, this should be the waitress job. The manager or owner got food faster then the waitress after writing down our order it only took 10min. But waiting so long we didn’t feel hungry anymore and ended packing the rest to go. Manager or owner got our food fast but giving a unhappy look for us taking wings flavours that maybe wasn’t ours after waiting 90min isn’t too professional, same goes for the waitress that didn’t notice our 90min wait with no food even we kept asking her where our food was. Read moreIf I could give 0 stars to this place, I would. Never had a worst experience at a restaurant like I’ve had at this one before. We were a group of 4 and all we got was their boneless chicken wings, pretty simple, we didn’t get our food until 40 minutes later. The manager comes over and he was extremely rude and ignorant after telling him how long we’ve been waiting, he tried arguing with us. Told us it was only 20 minutes. When we challenged that, he then said it was 25 minutes. When challenged again he stated they had no food delivery standard on Friday evening. He would not show us the receipt as to when the order was entered, though he was waving it in the air.
Then abruptly he asked if we wanted the food or not. Between the arguing and rude attitude, we opted to leave. And this guy claimed to be the manager. He was the one trying to grow a little ponytail.
A professional “manager” would have apologized and admitted the food delivery was not up to the usual standard. But no accountability, no responsibility. Argumentative. A very poor display of customer service.
The table behind us, who arrived 10 minutes after us, got their food 10 minutes before our food which we were told would be at our table in two minutes, at 6:13 pm. The food arrived at 6:20 pm. Order was made at 5:40 pm and arrived with way more attitude than necessary at 6:20 pm.
Horrible place, if you’re looking for a restaurant to dine in, I’d suggest you go elsewhere, the customer service here is absolutely awful.
Edit: I sent 2 emails to the manager who left a reply on this review and haven’t heard anything back. They clearly don’t want to solve their problems or even apologize and that just proves...
