That was a terrible experience.
I was sitting on one of the chairs facing the window while having my brunch, and one of the employees was holding a big spray bottle of cleaner and doing some cleaning. I did not notice her at first, until she came to the long table that I was sitting at, there was only me who was using that table, and she started to spray and clean the table from the other end. I was holding my sandwich and I got a heavy backpack and a cup of coffee, it was not easy to move for me, and I did not expect that she would come close to me.
However, she acted very naturally and sprayed and cleaned all the way up to my seat, and I was shocked that she saw me holding my sandwich and a coffee without lit sitting at almost the other end of the table and still proceeded to spray the cleaning chemicals all the way up to me. I was shocked, but I quickly grabbed everything I can and moved to the very end of the table, hoping she would go away after seeing my scared face. But NO. She proceeded to keep spraying her chemicals after cleaning my original seat, and sprayed again just in front of me, only mumbling sorry to me.
I quickly grabbed everything I could again and escaped to another table where a few people was sitting. I was genuinely shocked of how rude that was. But that was not the end. After cleaning that table, she grabbed her big spray bottle of cleaner and proceeded to this table again. Even though there were people sitting here and there, she just sprayed her chemicals beside them anyways. I quickly grabbed everything I could again and ran back to the previous table to avoid another extra toppings of chemical ingredients to my brunch and coffee.
But it was too late. My coffee has been sprayed by whatever was in the bottle. I had to throw that away. That was $7. And I only had two sips of my coffee and one bite of my sandwich. I know that Starbucks cherish the feeling of that very first sip of their coffee, but I did not know thatโs all they cherish about their coffee. I expected to have my 3rd and 4th sips, you know? That was not diminishing marginal effect, that was the diminishing of my trust in this brand.
Actually, I just started to go to Starbucks regularly recently, but it seems to be a bad decision after all. My brunch was ruined. More importantly, that was a health issue. That was not even an accident or anything, she SAW me there. Did she expect me to drink my coffee after she sprayed whatever chemical she was holding? I could not believe how rude she was to all the customers.
After all, I do appreciate how Starbucks value the cleanliness of their shops, to an extent that it is more important than the basic health and safety of their customers. It did pay off though, their washroom is one of the cleanest washroom I have ever seen in the public shops. And that is why I rated the environment to be 5 stars. But I hope one day their food can be as clean as their washrooms.
That will be my last purchase from Starbucks in...

First instance, I was in the store before my order was ready, several staff standing around not doing much, only my order in the queue. I watched the barista pour skim milk in my oat milk Americano, had to request they remake it. Second time was today, my order was ready early and I picked it up in a rush to get to work, they gave me a mystery breakfast burrito vs egg bites despite the label on the bag. I called and asked if they can refund and the person on the phone said her name was Tiffany and realized she made and error and said she could only fix it if I came back. She was laughing the whole time. Unfortunately I cannot leave the hospital until my shift is over so I had to return the sandwich at 4pm at which point the new staff asked if I wanted the egg bites on the house. They clearly missed the point of not getting my order correct the first time and trying to rectify it 9 hours later is of no use to someone who has already eaten. Given food allergies that many people have, I would advise against visiting this location as they appear determined to cause an...

Visiting this Starbucks, essentially in the centre of the university of Toronto campus, I hoped for a location really designed to support the university population. I can confidently say that the design of this Starbucks location is the most disappointing I have ever experienced.
The staff at the location were efficient, polite, and helpful. My cold brew was, as always, excellent. However, with only 13 seats in the entire restaurant and absolutely no atmosphere, this location is essentially a takeout location for on the go coffee drinks.
If you are in desperate need of a quick take out coffee then this Starbucks location is fine. Otherwise, this Starbucks location lacks both the social spaces and the workplace spaces that most other...
