Edit- Just realised there is another review about her being a racist.
The disheveled older Chinese barista at this location needs to be retrained or reassigned to a role in the back, like handling stock. She is clearly not suited for a customer service position. I’ve dealt with her on two occasions, and both experiences were extremely disappointing. So much so that I'm thinking to never go back to this location. I always get strawberry acai lemonade with extra base. All baristas at every starbucks location have always been polite about it and even add more base if I feel it's not enough base. This particular barista (just thinking about the experience is upsetting) started lecturing me about the proportions used in the drink and seemed visibly annoyed about having to add more base. When handing me the drink, she lectured me again about the situation. I felt so uncomfortable, especially as other customers began staring, that I left without even trying the drink to see if I liked it. If you have cameras, you can check—I was very polite when asking for more base, so I don’t understand why she was so upset. My second experience with her was just as disappointing. She was working at the cash register, and I initially felt relieved, thinking she wouldn’t have to make my drink this time.I ordered my usual—a strawberry acai lemonade with extra base and a double-double coffee. But once again, she started lecturing me about the proportions of lemonade and base, insisting that I be very specific about the exact amount of base I wanted. As if that wasn’t enough, she even went so far as to draw on a cup to demonstrate the proportions. If I wanted to learn how to make a drink, I’d just buy the ingredients and make it at home or apply for a job at Starbucks. Her job is to make drinks as per customers’ preferences, not to school them. Starbucks offers customization for a reason, and it’s frustrating that she makes such a simple request feel like an ordeal. Also if she’s unwilling to handle customizations, she shouldn’t be in this role. Honestly, she should consider retiring, as her attitude makes it seem like menopause might be affecting her behavior. I’m sorry to sound so sour, but I’ve been coming to this location for two years and have never had an experience like this before. Mark, the manager, is fantastic, and I could see he was trying to make up for her behavior by quickly preparing my drink, but he accidentally didn't add cream to the coffee in the process. I completely understand—we’re all humans, and he must have been feeling the pressure. He’s an incredible manager, always greeting customers with a warm smile. I’d also like to highlight Michelle, a shift supervisor. When I explained my experience and mentioned the issue with the drinks, she immediately remade them and made sure I was happy with them. That’s the kind of customer service I expect and appreciate from starbucks! I truly love the staff at this location, but that older woman doesn’t belong in this role. Her behavior is so out of line that it overshadows the excellent service provided by...
Read moreJust ordered 2 half sweet peppermint mochas there. The woman who took the order was giving friendly vibes but the one who was making coffees looked pissed. Did not put a single drop of peppermint sauce in the second medium sized coffee at all. Probably forgot although the sticker had everything I ordered. Now it makes us question more, like are we sure it’s oat milk?
As a customer, I can only make my order, pay for it, check the sticker to make sure it was done right assuming you got everything on it since we are not getting it for free.
I just finished reading the book ‘pour your heart into it’ and what I see here is just the opposite of everything envisioned for Starbucks. We realized they forgot to add peppermint sauce after leaving the premises and there is no way for us to go back given the traffic. It’s just not fair. Please care a little bit because people pay money for their coffees and you also get paid to make that...
Read more08/15/2023: Flat white wasn’t made to perfection. Too much froth. This for me is a good benchmark of competence. Floors need to be swept more often throughout the day and tables wiped more frequently (I don’t think they’re ever wiped). Abigail is an asset and should be promoted. Management/owner don’t reply comments or take action on suggestions because they don’t really care, just in for the money.
10/25/22: The store has gone back to normal with not requiring employees and customers to wear masks, but the only thing customers have access to from the self-serve station are napkins; all the other compartments were empty at 6:16 pm and there was no thermos with cream and milk. I had to ask for a stir stick today. Starbucks is a premium coffee shop, please restore these items. The only reason I can think of for why these items aren’t accessible is for the owner...
