I ordered my drink online before arriving. When I got there, I politely asked for the restroom code before picking up my drink, as I needed to use the restroom first. An older male employee (his name was JEFF/Jeffrey, or something very similar) responded to me in a very rude manner, saying āYou should be a customer to use the restroom.ā I calmly replied āI am a customerā because I had already placed my order. Instead of acknowledging that, he smirked at me and replied in an aggressive tone āI didnāt know about that.ā He then gave me the code so quickly that I could not even understand what he said.
I asked another female employee, but she also gave me the code very quickly and then turned away without any care. Finally, I approached a younger Asian male employee, who at first repeated the same line about being a customer. When I explained again that my drink was already waiting, he apologised and gave me the code clearly. He was the only respectful staff member in that moment, and I am thankful to him.
Still, this was the rudest treatment I have ever experienced at Starbucks. I felt humiliated and unwelcome as a paying customer, simply for asking to use the restroom before picking up my drink. Instead of assuming I was not a customer, your staff could have asked me...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt's hard to believe that Starbucks has been around as long as it has. This is my opinion only, as for practical & pragmatic reasons, I'll rarely treat myself to food or drink while out & about.
If you were to add up the cost of what I deem 'frivolous' & costly trendy foods, you begin to see the volume of money that you could be saving.
My Capricorn side of me wants to live a life of comfort & security. With that being said...I've been conditioned to save for what I deem important & what I feel will drain my bank account.
However, my visit to Starbucks was to see a friend who was coming to town. It had been 5 years since our last visit. We made Starbucks the meet up place.
On this special day...I left my 'rules' at home and spent a few shekels. lol
The sandwiches were fresh & tasty, & the deserts were superb & not overly sweet. Our coffees were delightfully delicious. I had a wonderful visit & a great lunch as well.
With all the competition in the coffee market, Starbucks has maintained a level of quality foods, fresh & delicious deserts & quite frankly, the best coffee in town.
The only small issue is that although the line to order was long, I think 10 minutes is a wee bit of time once we ordered. Other than that,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOne star is generous for this store tucked inside Loblaws. Except for the store manager (Jen); none of the people making coffees at this Starbucks location are qualified or meet the standard benchmarks to be called as Starbucks Baristas! Coffee making is an art! Pouring an espresso with steaming milk like kids alongside complimentary rude and utterly unprofessional behaviour is what the people working at this Starbucks demonstrates. They have zero customer service, they think that Starbucks run as per their disposal and they have the liberty to close the cafe at any time as per their choice. Starbucks loose business because of people working at this location. I was treated extremely rudely and turned away by a barista twice during normal business hours of this store. School kid will have better professional and...
