I have been a regular customer for years who does not live in the city. I was having a serious sushi craving and was so excited to make a delivery order to my favorite spot as delivery is free. I made my order at 5:15 pm to my office in the Financial District and the clerk let me know that my food would be delivered in an hour.

I was patiently awaiting at my office when suddenly I got a call from the restaurant at 5:43. I assumed the location was notifying me that the driver was downstairs with my order. Instead it was the same clerk notifying me that my office is at Front Street, I clarified and noted that it is actually located after King but before Front to which she noted that it would be an additional 3 dollars surcharge for delivery. I noted to the client that that change was not indicated on their website (even though they've updated it recently and amended several items that use to be there). The clerk noted that she is unsure the issue but it will be an additional 3 dollars on my already $30 sushi order. I noted to the clerk that it was an error made on their behalf and they should honor, but clearly that is wishful thinking.

After doing this wasteful back and forth for a minute, I noted to her that she can cancel the order (for several obvious reasons) and the clerk gleefully responded "No Problem!" and proceeded to thank me, which I grudgingly hung up.

It's 2019 - Unfortunately we were all not born yesterday and I will not speculate on why my order was cancelled. Let us leave the ignorance of good customer service. Of course, I won't be eating here again and that's the brilliance of free market and choice. It is also the intelligible thing to weigh options ( $30 vs. $3), but like I said, wasn't born yesterday and Another man's disappointment is another man's profit.

P.S. I always come baring receipts, Please see attached picture to reiterate said points and Thanks for coming to...

I used to live in Annex area for years. This resto always had a long line of people, I never understood until tonight. Not that I'm saying their service is bad or anything, this is one of the most westernized sushi shop you can go. Basically, there are some basic rules you follow to be called as "a decent sushi restaurant.". I know some as an asian and also used to be a hot food cook in a sushi resto.

-Their rice was wayyyy too sticky to be used as sushi rice(wrong measurement&time setting). And it's way too much, just way to much. -You don't put just a bulk seaweed in miso..chop it or crush it. -Some pieces were pretty fresh but tuna was like a jerky. Dried, even rolling up on the edge because of dryness. More than a day old. -You don't use raw seaweed out of a package for a roll..It is supposed to be burnt or grilled a bit so it has crunchiness not sticky, chewy taste..(they are just saving time) -strain your tea.. it's not how you serve. (this is disgraceful if you bring any senior and serve them tea like this.) (another saving time and less hassle)

Overall, people are here because they don't feel that much hungry after eating "sushi". Sorry guys, but I have to say it. That's why there is barely any asian in this store, we know it's not even close to "sushi". Feeling the fullness in your stomach is not how you enjoy sushi. However, it's a restaurant that serves sushi looking food with decent desserts (free ice cream & coffee). Sadly, the best thing I had was green tea ice cream🧢. Ice cream and great service...

I've been going here for almost a decade. I've always enjoyed their salmon roll, dynamite roll, and am in love with their karaage. Service is usually attentive without being intrusive. Polite but quick as they're always busy.

I tried their shrimp-stuffed mushrooms for the first time - the description didn't say they'd be deep fried in tempura. I don't really like tempura vegetables, so had I known I wouldn't have ordered this. But if you like tempura vegetables, it was tasty.

The only issue: My husband ordered the spicy scallop roll and 100% got food poisoning from it (explosive diarrhea 1 hour after eating, for several hours). It has to have been the spicy scallop roll, as it's the only raw thing he ordered (he also got the salmon skin roll which is cooked, and otherwise ate the things I ate and I'm fine) and he didn't eat anything between when we left Sushi on Bloor and when the diarrhea started. Like I said, I've been coming here for almost a decade and never had an issue. But the only raw fish I order is salmon, which has a high turnover in sushi restaurants. I would imagine scallop is ordered less frequently.

Of course no food service should ever give anyone food poisoning, but I honestly still love this place and even my husband will still go but simply avoid the scallops going forward. The price is fantastic and the portions and flavours are great considering the price - just stick to...

The best sushi in town with the most delicious Ginger wasabi Roll. The Makimono set is the best 18 pcs set of spicy salmon and tuna roll which comes with a nice salad. The best part is also the free ice cream at the end with Mango taste. The staff is very friendly and nice. The only improvement that the place needs is washroom which if renovated and quality improved would make the place perfect.
