Dhruv Bhandari provides some of the best service at Tahini’s on King Street West. I have been visiting this location for almost a year, and he consistently delivers exceptional service and the best shawarmas. He always greets me and my friends with a warm smile and genuine hospitality.
Dhruv is a qualified mechanical engineer, capable of making significant contributions to the world. His abilities and qualifications far exceed what is typically required for his current role, yet he approaches his work with remarkable dedication and passion. Despite everything, he comes to work every day, delivering outstanding service and leaving a lasting impression on every customer.
I have been in the professional field for many years, but I have rarely encountered someone as committed, honest, and hardworking as Dhruv. He is an inspiration to anyone working outside of their field of study or comfort zone but still giving their absolute best.
The story of a mechanical engineer working at a shawarma shop reminds us that as a society, we often overlook the contributions and potential of individuals based on their current roles. Dhruv deserves far more recognition and respect for his unwavering commitment to excellence.
Let us respect and value every human being, regardless of their skin color, race, or culture. We all belong to this shared earth, and opportunities should be based on skills, dedication, and qualifications. Dhruv is a shining example of how hard work and character can transcend...
Read moreI partly enjoyed my experience at Tahini's, and I might revisit, but that is not for certain.
First of all, the food is okay. I ordered a Maya Salad with Falafel, which was not bad. The parsley kind of ruined the taste of the salad, and the turnips were far too sour. The lettuce, however, was pretty nice and crisp. Despite the name of the restaurant being Tahini's, there was not enough Tahini in the salad, and same with Hummus. To be honest, I think the reason why I wanted more Hummus and Tahini is because the rest of the salad was not great, and I wanted to mask the flavor. I would like to point out that the falafels at Tahini's are by far the best falafels I have ever tasted. They are so crispy and crunchy on the outside, and moist and soft on the inside. I cannot stop raving about them because they were extremely scrumptious. I could have eaten five of those falafels on their own for dinner!
The service is a little slow, but I think it is because they make the falafels fresh. At least that is how they tasted, but I am not sure if the falafels are made in-store. The atmosphere is not the best, because there was grime on the tables and chairs.
I may come back to this restaurant to try some of the wraps, but I definitely want to eat those outstanding...
Read moreStaff and service was friendly and quick however food was stone cold (I got a chicken bowl with rice) and portions were small (filled only midway) as well as having some hard chicken pieces. There is a Shelby's Shawarma a few doors down and would suggest them 100% more. This Tahini's location is not a place you want to go to for good quality shawarma.
UPDATE: the manager/ franchise owner (?) was very prompt in contacting me. They were apologetic, prompt, and offered a replacement to show their ideal standards of service and quality. I'm assuming the day I originally went in perhaps they were short staffed, etc because the quality of the food was miles different. Their service has always been great so that has never been an issue. I am happy with the fact that they rectified and validated my experience and acknowledged that mistakes do happen (as they do in all our jobs) but as opposed to being argumentative and dismissive they were kind and gracious and heard me out with an open mind. Thank you very much, I appreciate the Tahini's team and their level of care for rectifying something as minor as a...
