My cousin and i decided to go to tkos for a change to try something diferent . My cousin decided to get the bacon burger and upgrade the fries to a poutine was told it was 7 dollars charge she decided to go for it .... little did we know she got ten fries on her plate who pays 7 dollars for 10 fries . We were told had to get a pop in order to get the special which is a half price burger so we did all in all the pop tasted lawful. Once the bill came we tried to speak to the old lady who was our server. We told her the pop was not good she told us in a rude tone she has been serving it all day and i was the only one with the problem. Then i tried to explain why i had to pay 7 dollars for 10 fries she slammed her hands on the table and yelled at me said there is nothing she can do . She was rude and i think the owner there was alot she. Could do first apologize , second do not slam your hands on the table especially if you are the owner . The burger was hard and burnt. My experience was disgusting and poor. I will tell everyone about this horrible place and horrible service from the...
Read moreVery rude manager.
Me and my friend went there today and ordered some cocktails (very simple ones like: a manhattan, and martinis) the bartender seemed to not know how to make these very basic cocktails and told us to order beer instead. But the manager stepped in and made them for us; me and my friend were very quiet, seldemly talked, weren't rude, and tipped very well, however, after 4 drinks in the span of 80 minutes the manager came out and told us that she couldn't serve us anymore and that we had to leave. I was very puzzled by this since again, we were polite, quiet, and didn't do anything wrong, not to mention we weren't even intoxicated, so I asked for the reason of eviction, she told us that we drank too much and that we weren't allowed to be served more alchohol.
I had 4 drinks and my friend had 3.
I've never been kicked out of a bar in my life, yet alone after 4 drinks. The whole situation seemed bizzare to me, but long story short, inexperienced bartender (she was nice though) and very rude manager, would not recommend this...
Read moreGreat no nonsense neighbourhood bar with a cosy retro feel from the decor to the fabulous classic rock soundtrack. Sit in a booth, at the bar or at the front tables. Great for solo dining or nights out with friends.
Owner Mary is an absolute star, making everyone feel at home whether a regular or first time visitor. She always makes great dinner suggestions - I've never been disappointed.
Numerous draught offerings including Murphy's Stout (gets my vote), and multiple screens for watching sport.
The kitchen serves up a nice variety of pub favourites - wings are a must try. Bone basket a great touch. Daily specials are always excellent, and if you are in on a Friday go for the fish and chip special.
No glitz no glitter, just a nice place to hang out.
NB Toronto typical design with WC down a flight of stairs but it's well lit with a hand rail so it's definitely navigable even if you...
