Wayback Burgers — Restaurant in Town of Cochrane

Went with a party of six. Sampled the kids and adult menus. We found the food mediocre and over-priced. The prices on the signs are for burger only. They don't have a price up for the 'meal'. (Which is NO deal at all.) All burgers with the exception of the rodeo burger were very sloppy with too much sauce, resulting in messy shirts and soggy buns. The rodeo burger was dry and required 4 packets of mustard/ketchup to make it palatable. Of the 4 milkshake flavors we tried (mint oreo, vanilla, cocoa mocha and coffee), only the mint had any flavour. All the others might as well have been ordered as vanilla. The home fries were hit and miss with some burnt and some not fully cooked. The french fries were soggy and under cooked. The Cajun tater tots were flavorless (not at all spicy), but they were at least crispy. The only thing any of us really liked was the clock where the hands ran backwards.

Overall we all agreed this is a place we will NOT return to. Very disappointing ...

Just ordered 2 grilled chicken burgers. I asked for 1 to be gluten free and for them to mark the wrapping on the gluten free burger. It took 20 minutes for the order. That's not the real issue. When I got home I saw GG on the wrapping and gave it to my fiancee (who is Celiac!!). She took 1 bite then realized it wasn't gluten free!!. I called back and was told that they marked BOTH burgers as Gluten Free then put an 'X' on the one that wasn't. They could have alerted me in the restaurant rather than just expecting me to know and figure it out. Right now, my fiancee is getting violently sick from eating the bun that had the gluten.

They just didn't take the care needed to inform me that they made a mistake marking the wrappings. This is NOT the first time we've had issues like this from this location. I gave them chances. No I'll NEVER go back again. They don't get sick - she is! You're in the food industry and should be taking more care. I don't see that care...

Passing through Cochrane, we decided to stop in here for a burger based.on google search for burgers in the area. The reviews were promising. When we ordered we noticed the ad for the bacon ranch cheesesteak sandwich which looked amazing in the ad on the menu board. So it was nothing loke thr image. It was sliced cheese, not melted, no bacon on mine and a small amount on my girlfriends. And the steak was.the equivalent of the ground beef they use at taco time in their tacos. Very underwhelming in appearance and taste. Also if you are going to have a glass windo into the kitchen. Please wear gloves when handling the cheese and othe ingrdients. One guy who looked.like he was training was wearing disposable plastic gloves. But the other worker who was training him was handling all the ingredients with bare hands while while touching his face and hair. I'm not a germaphobe but I don't like seeing the food I'm about to eat being handled...
