Today, I made the brave decision to stop at this roadside culinary war crime disguised as a restaurant. I ordered the "Alphredo" (I assume that's what they call it because even Alfredo wants no association with this mess) and a donair wrap. Big mistake. Huge.
Let’s start with the "Alphredo." I don’t know what crime against pasta I witnessed, but it tasted like someone boiled noodles in dishwater, tossed in expired milk, and called it a day. The sauce was thinner than my patience, and the only seasoning seemed to be regret. They even tried to cover it with a sprinkle of burnt cheese, like shame in casserole form.
As for the donair wrap — imagine sadness rolled up in a tortilla. The meat was flavorless, the sauce was oddly sweet (like someone mistook syrup for tzatziki), and there wasn’t a single vegetable in sight. It had all the passion of a tax seminar and the texture of wet cardboard.
The fries were... fine. Mediocre, at best. But after the pasta and wrap fiasco, they tasted like a Michelin-starred side dish.
In conclusion, if you're craving a soul-crushing dining experience and want to question your life choices, this is the spot for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and go to the A&W across the street. At least there, disappointment comes with...
Read moreBeen hearing about busters pizza and donair so passing through here, i wanted to try them out for the first time, soon as a I stepped in, theres an weird aroma of what smells like methane gas, the tables weren't very clean, people seem nice though, but the washrooms were very unsanitary like no ones looked after It for days, I got a donair, fries and drink, only the fries was good..... I could not believe in all my years eating donair, and mind you I ate this soon as I got out to my car, they would give me chicken thats not even warm, im talking about room temperature like it was sitting there, the Nan bread they used hopefully is cover with oil though it had a weird taste like what I imagine dish soap would taste like, I took one bite, spat it out and threw it away, I had zero time to go back in to complain but I get the feeling these might be normal practices where they come from ? Unfortunately not here my friends, people want fresh food and hygiene is a must for your establishment, hopefully this is a one off for them and they're providing fresh cooked food and keeping...
Read moreWe stopped at busters on our way to William Switzer provincial Park on Wednesday. This was our first time at busters and the pizza was really good. Ordered cheese pizza with veggie topings and garlic bread. Pizza was good but garlic bread was not great as pizza.
We used the washrooms and it was not clean. There were tobacco spits on the washroom waste bins, toilet commodes and wash basins. We stopped again at busters on Saturday on our return and for our surprise, the toilet looked the same as on Wednesday, not even cleaned for 4 days. When notified to the staff they did not even know about this... Seems like the busters food is good, not the store, the general cleanliness of the store was not up to the marks. There's dust and dirt in the corners.. Hope they are keeping the kitchen where they prepare the food clean and will take...
