Let me break it down for you.

The best coffee on the drive by a wide margin can be found here. Heck, they could grab a fistful of whole coffee beans out of the bin and whip it at your face and it still going to be the best coffee on the drive.

Paul is a total OG and once you get to know him, he will have exactly what you want started before you even get to the counter.

Logical cream/sugar/etc area is proper and well maintained. It’s a straight up Coffee Rules Everything Around Me : C.R.E.A.M situation up in here.

The espresso is god-tier. Not just “hey, this is good” stuff. No no. Lord no. It’s a heckin’ symphony of roast, nuttiness and crema. It’s the antithesis of everything that horrible low-voice opera man that sullies the Drive with his awfulness is. Get this in yo mouth and do it a second time for all that extra in your life.

That corner of 2nd and Commercial is most most premium. Great outdoor seating for people watching, minimal bamboozling occurs by ruffians and ne’er-do-wells and it is close to all the bonus things.

Continental Coffee holds a special place in my heart for my Commercial Drive coffee requirements. Never change, homies. You...

I grew up (and got down) in this neighbourhood. Went to both Elementary and High School here, and I.LOVE.CONTINENTAL.COFFEE. The walls are creamy and relaxing, the airflow is not pretentious but comfortable, and the storefront windows are always clean. Overall, just enough visual cowbell to be able to focus on why I’m there: for the coffee.

Their coffee bean roasts are made for my taste buddies. If we’re talking about the science of roasting, they mastered it. And I’d go as far to say that they’ve narrowed down the margin of error in, and for, the coffee roasting industry. I can vouch for this because throughout the years, the quality of their brews have remained consistent.

If I want some punishment, I go to JJ. If I want to really hurt myself OpusDei style, I go to Starbucks. And when I’m really loving myself, I only go to Continental Coffee.

Fuggetabout the unfair staff reviews 🤌🏼 Have you seen yourself in the mirror when you’re literally physically hurting for caffeine? That’s a face only a mother could love, so please show some patience with staff members too.

Barista was in a bad mood. Not friendly and was very curt. Overheard he was saying he was constantly busy. Not sure if he was the only person working which I feel bad for him if he was. But it was my first time and I don't think I will return.

When we checked our drinks, I saw used cups so went back to seat and to wait. I saw a mug beside the dirty cups but there was drink dripping on side so thought it was another dirty cup. Then saw a cup with tea bag and realized it might me mine. Turns out my friends drink was there for a while (it was the drink with drink dripping on the side). Neither of us heard him call us the first time nor second time some second drink.

Its a pretty busy place so guessing popular but to me there are other nice coffee places on Commercial!! I'd say this...
