I recently visited your west end location. the Margherita pizza was delightful, the gnocchi was bit salty for my taste.

Unfortunately, my visit was overshadowed by a negative encounter with a waitress named Clair. Her loud and rude behavior created a unpleasant atmosphere. On a positive note, the female bartender was friendly and nice and male waiter was nice.

I brought a small snack with me per my doctor's advice, and when Clair insisted I discard it without a trash can in sight, I chose to consume it as there was only a bite left and to avoid unnecessary waste to the environment. Regrettably, this led to an uncomfortable situation as she shouted and humiliated me in-front of many people.

Despite our ordered food not yet arriving, the disappointment had already set in, leaving me embarrassed in front of my friend who traveled from Australia.

I suggest including proper training, to enhance the overall customer experience. The Kitsilano and Shipyards locations have set a standard for a better atmosphere...

Walking into Nook felt like stepping into a place I’d known for years, even though it was my first visit. The atmosphere is warm, comforting, and effortlessly familiar — a small, cozy space that instantly puts you at ease.

The wait staff was incredibly attentive without being overbearing, striking that perfect balance of hospitality and space. We had Steven and he was great!

But the real star of the evening? The lasagna. Hands down one of the most rustic, flavorful renditions I’ve ever had. It was a tower of perfectly layered richness — so many layers I genuinely got lost in them. The smoked buffalo cream added a depth and smokiness that elevated the dish to another level, while the fresh basil cut through the richness just enough to keep every bite feeling balanced and bright. It was so unreal.. I got a second slice to go.

Nook is the kind of place you want to return to — not just for the food, but for how it...

We had heard good things about Nook & this location is within walking distance from our daughter. We chose to celebrate her birthday as a party of 5. It is quite small inside so all that was left was a small table by the window & we made do knowing we did not have a reservation. We had two different pizzas & two pasta dishes & the food did not disappoint! What did disappoint was the service. Sure we got our water filled up & drinks when we asked but the server was flat & indifferent & seemed to be going through the motions with zero engagement. Not someone I would want as the face of my business. What topped it off was when we pointed out it was our daughter's birthday there was no acknowledgement! Not a smile, not a Happy Birthday, NOTHING! As a family who deals with the public in various different jobs (including a daughter who serves herself!) we know what to expect at a restaurant & suffice to say we...

++Great Food! ++Great Service! ++Great Time! ++Reasonable Prices! ++While we had to wait about 20 minutes for a party of 6, it was quick and well worth it! ++Constatine (see photo, got permission) made great recommendations, of which we ordered two super yummy items (see photo of both): ++1) Pizza with finocchiona, roasted red peppers, buffalo mozzarella, caramelized onions, on a tomato base; ++2) Crostini with presto, semi-dried cherry tomatoes, and burrata. ++3) Pizza with ezzo pepperoni, pomodoro, and parsley (no photo,  item was on menu, attached). ++While we ordered various drinks, the Montepulciano (see menu) was a great pairing and it's full-bodied flavor was enhanced by the Pizza and Crostini...WOW! ++I ONLY rate and comment on the best; anything less is not worth my time and certainly not yours! ++Your taste buds will thank you!

Took my girlfriend here for an impromptu dinner and safe to say it did not disappoint. On a busy Friday night around 8:00, there was a queue but Sarah was extremely accomodating. The ambiance was warm and welcoming. I ordered the special that night, the Beef Cheek Ragu Papardelle with Caramelized Onions and Peppered Pecorino. Really decadent pasta with a lot of depth especially with the rich ragu and perfectly al dente papardelle. She ordered the Housemade Sausage Pizza, and was very tasty as the 3 peppers were perfect touches to each slice. Nothing short of amazing, and our server Adam was incredibly helpful in helping us feel welcomed, on top of the tiramisu he got for us. Definitely made our week and highly suggest coming here regardless of the time. It's worth the wait, and is a definite comeback for us. Thank you Adam & Sarah!
