Denman Market and flower — Local services in Vancouver

The owners of this place are so rude (not the one woman cashier), the owners!!! I bought a $46.00 orchid plant six weeks ago being told how to take care of it (I also google searched), said it should last 3 to 4 months. It totally died. On the explaining the situation to them they got their backs up, before proceeding to laugh at me saying “get out of here”. There was only one male customer in the store whom said “unbelievable”, then left. They actually laughed me out of the store. I have been buying plants from them for years while telling others about their beautiful plants. My self respect will keep me away now....

Tried to buy lottery tickets and the man behind the counter wouldn't talk to me except to ask if my friend who was standing behind me was my husband. I said no and he started to explain to my friend that the machine was broken. I asked why he was explaining to my friend when I was the one asking and he just smiled at me and started talking to my friend again. I stepped in front of my friend and asked what was up, I wanted the lottery tickets not him. The man just smiled at me strangely and at that point I just left. WHAT IS...

I've been going to this store for years for flowers. They are always friendly and kind. I'm not sure why other reviewers take their COVID signs so personally. They have been operating very safely throughout the pandemic and I think their signage is very responsible. It's up to the entire community to be safe. Anyways, the market is an important part of the neighbourhood and I am very grateful they continue to operate in...
