I went into miniso to get a phone case for my new iPhone 11 and as I walk the security starts following me. I kinda just ignore it and focus on the phone case and I was checking out their new marvel selection. Iām standing there for less than 10 seconds and heās staring at me, so I ask why heās staring and he says āare you looking for a phone case?ā Never in my life have I had a security guard try to help me look for products in the store because thatās the sales associates job. So I just say āyeahā he then shows me to the phone case area. Normally when I go into miniso I like to look around and check out a few things but this security guy wasnāt making me comfortable to do that. So I go to the phone case area where he was showing me and of course they donāt have any iPhone 11 cases. So, I go up to a sales associate and ask if they have any iPhone 11 cases and she mentions they havenāt got them in yet. After finding out they donāt have cases for my phone size, I decide to look around at the store and see if I can find anything for my nephews because their birthdays are coming up. Then pops up behind me the security guard, staring at me again. I decide to say something and ask him why he is following me. Which he replies by saying āheās not and that he noticed I was no longer looking at phone cases and thought he would check in.ā I am now feeling very uncomfortable and say this to him and tell him that he is racial profiling me. Which heās says he isnāt but heās just trying to help me find what Iām looking for. Like I said earlier Iāve never had a security guard try to help as this is not their job and that when I look for help itās with a sales associate, who actually knows stuff about the products. So, I donāt understand why he was trying to help me when Iāve never asked to be helped and of course he doesnāt know how to answer and I say I donāt feel comfortable looking in this store when Iām not allowed to browse around at my own leisure. So, I leave the store. I love coming here but if it is always this uninviting then I will no longer be a customer at the Granville miniso and I will tell my friends not to go here either because of the horrible customer service. It is so sad to experience such rude customer service from a store I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI shopped here on October 27 to buy a phone case for my friend, but I accidentally picked up the iPhone 15 Pro case instead of the Pro Max. I went back the next day to exchange it. I am a member of their membership program, so I assumed they use a digital receipt system. Itās the end of 2025 and I was shocked to learn today when I asked for an exchange that they only use paper receipts. What made it even more disappointing was being told that phone cases are āfinal sale.ā I can understand final sale policies for sealed products that part is not my issue but I believe such policies should be clearly communicated at the time of purchase, and in my case, they absolutely were not. I know the staff tried to help and I genuinely appreciate that, so I believe the problem lies more in the company policies than with the staff themselves. I have been a loyal customer of this brand for years, spending my hard-earned money here because I thought we shared the same values. The item was never opened, yet they refused to exchange it without a paper receipt and told me their system is too outdated to even view past purchases digitally. That is extremely outdated and disappointing. When I expressed how upsetting it was that this product will now simply go to waste, the staff member turned around and walked away. At this point, the issue is not the $15 itās the principle. This brand does not value its customers, and I see no reason to continue spending money at a place where I am not valued.
For the new year, my only wish for this brand is that they learn to value their customers and also learn to value trees. The fact that in 2025 they still rely on physical paper receipts instead of a digital system shows that they do not value customers nor the environment. That is truly sad. I am sharing this here because brands we trust should not profit while devaluing their customers. Itās just...
Ā Ā Ā Read more@other reviewers STOP ASKING SECURITY FOR ADVICE ON WHAT TO BUY!!! That isn't his job!! It is to make sure people don't steal? He might/ likely will stalk you if you are alone and spend too much time there browsing.... But do not come here if you are visibly poor like I am? I guess?... More specifically- a young woman š DO NOT MAKE EYE CONTACT WITH HIM TO AVOID DISTRESSING CONFRONTATION WHEN LOOKING AT SELECTION! Crime is high and specifically theft but some security focus on people who come alone who are young while a couple other people go and steal behind their back šš¤”š
Items have become pretty $$$$$$$ and they are mostly dirty and made poorly but they are mass produced and made by slaves in sweatshops so stop coming here and expecting quality !! Come here and expect to contribute to pain, suffering and global warming but look ohh there is hello kitty š (Also lower your slave footprint by not shopping here) !!!!!!!!!!!! I am a hypocrite since I bought a cute fuzzy hello kitty change purse BUT my hello kitty purse I bought here (when it was $5 cheaper at the time 3 months ago) was stolen with my wallet in it so I needed a pick me up :(
They automatically go to ring you up on credit/debit so don't come here if you had your wallet stolen and have to pay in cash- it will remind you that you have nothing now and make you sad...
The staff isn't friendly or helpful but I don't think they get paid enough to care so that's pretty understandable!!! (Customer service jobs suck and dont pay enough to afford to live in Vancouver or anywhere in lower mainland as far as I know).
Pre-recession this store was coolš once upon a timeš in another lifeš lmfao
But ya just go to $ store next door, it has lots of candy and scary security but if you only have cash they have self checkout...
