I’m usually too unconcerned to leave comments about bad staff, and have a lot of compassion - but making an exception for this woman who had the power to leave me preferring that I’d gladly give my $7.70 just to forgo my experience. She was explaining to everyone that everything wasn’t ready yet because they open late on Sunday. Coffee would take 20 min, but I could pay for an americano. Another man had to wait for a toaster to warm up. Aside from being incredibly abrupt, in a hurry, and impersonal, she didn’t ask if I wanted anything in my americano and there was no milk or cream left for customers to add so I had to wait in line to ask. I give 1 star for their nice decor. Food and coffee was a solid “ok”. Rocaninni across the street (where I go every weekend) will put magic in your heart with their kindness professionalism, and warmth. Their food is also delicious. I think staff at coffee shops play a huge role in setting the tone/vibe of the entire premises, individuals experience, and even have the ability to taint someone’s day from worse to better or better to worse etc. Save yourself from this experience and run to Rocannini directly...
Read moreCustomers Beware Regret coming to the store and being confronted by “Ivana”; so not welcoming and impolite. Items that have been purchased were partly placed on very dirty cashier counter and remaining on the table across the entrance door…!!! Addressed the dirt & stickiness on the counter and was told “if I dont see it, it means its clean”… *pictures are available upon request. Do not recommend this store in any given sense; very low standards, poor behaviour, not welcoming at all and short tempered… Interestingly Ivana didn’t even know the proper name & spelling of the manager. Reading other reviews with low ratings clearly outline the toxicity of the atmosphere and how insultingly customers are treated as a result of the poor prevailing working culture. Highly recommend avoiding...
Read moreI really like this place but they shouldn't sing up to be part of the "discounts of the Vancouver Tourism challenge cuz some of their employees don't know anything or do not accept it. It doesn't matter how many time you try to explain to them that you are a pass holder and that the pass is valid for the 30% discount, they will tell you that you have to go to the YWCA Hotel to get the coupon but that is just for the first time cuz once you complete the challenge that's one of the privileges that you get for the whole season. The reason why the business do this is to promote business growth and tourism indeed.
If you guys are not going to honor this offer just don't sign up for...
