Went to the restaurant after the grey cup had family visiting from Ontario and it was their last day here in BC my sister and brother's fiance grabbed a table after going to the Christmas market so my brother and I could join them after the game. We joined them right before the game ended and sat down to order a drink, got the 20$ michelada that was on the menu after taking two sips the waitress returns to tell us we had to leave the table in 10 minutes as we had reached the time limit and said they didn't know they're was a special event on despite it being on 4 different TVs in the restaurant and they had not informed my sister or my brother's fiance of this policy or myself when I had just ordered a large drink a few minutes prior to telling us this. Truly a disappointing experience as they had to go to the airport shortly and had to chug a huge spicy cocktail I wouldn't have ordered knowing this. Overall very disappointed with the communication from the server and the manager not even coming to our table to explain the sudden change in policy. I wouldn't want to come here again and definitely won't be bringing my family on they're next trip to the city left a bad taste in everyone's mouth right before the end of the trip. Menu looked great and the cocktail was good but very disappointing to be treated that way we would have left immediately to go somewhere else for dinner if we knew the policy but by the time we left all the other restaurants were full and my family left early for the airport transparency on this policy would have made a big difference. 0/5 stars for service and...

El patrón has been one of my favourite Mexican restaurants in Vancouver since I moved here, however I’m so disappointed with the last customer service experience we had recently on my boyfriend’s birthday.

After being a loyal customer for years, I called and asked if it would be possible to make a reservation for 11 people. I was told that they do not take reservations, but would make an exception if we all spent $75 per person. The night came around and one of our friends who has a newborn baby with some medical complications had to leave unexpectedly. This clearly upset the supervisor or manager who was dealing with us as he did not get a chance to order food and spend $75. The whole bill for the table was easily over $680, which was slightly less then the original $75 per head. This clearly angered the woman serving us as she decided to publicly complain to me about this in front of all our friends and my boyfriend on his birthday.

I was shocked. I’ve never been treated so poorly at a restaurant before. There were so many better ways to handle this. As I said, we have been loyal customers for years and have spent who knows how much money there over the years. You just don’t do this kind of stuff in customer service.

I’m very sad about how this was all handled and think this will be the end of us going...

This restaurant was recommended to us by a Mexican Friend. Today, we decided to come and try their food. For starters, one of the waitresses came over and asked me if we want something to drink? I asked her what she recommended? Her replied was another question! What you feel like it??? Really..???? I was not impressed with her answer because she has an opportunity to blow us away with their specialty drinks, but that was not the case at all. Then, we order a couple of soups a tortilla soup and a birria, they were pretty good, you should order them. Then we finished our soups and we sat there waiting for 15 minutes for someone to come over and acknowledge us. However that did not happened, then a slim guy with a massive attitude approached the table and he asked us if we wanted the bill, I said no, we still waiting in here for over 15 minutes to serve us or asked us if we want to order more food, so his replied was: I have been here and you did not say anything to me, really??? His attitude was even bigger, then he asked, so what you want?? Please bring us another beer. He brought us the two beers with his fabulous attitude and left, did not asked us if we wanted to order anything..!!! We still here seating down with our two beers and mo One has come bu a s asked us if we want to order food..!!!!...

My recent dining experience at Patron, a Mexican gem in Vancouver, left me utterly impressed. The highlight? Undoubtedly, the remarkable tacos that danced on my taste buds with each flavorful bite. Ibrahim, our server, deserves commendation for his stellar recommendations and impeccable service. His passion for the cuisine shone through, enhancing our overall enjoyment. Ibrahim's attention to detail and friendly demeanor added a personal touch to our dining adventure. Patron's atmosphere is a perfect blend of vibrancy and warmth. From the moment we entered, the ambiance transported us to the heart of Mexico, setting the stage for an authentic and memorable culinary escapade. The tacos at Patron are nothing short of extraordinary. Each one is a culinary masterpiece, showcasing the chef's dedication to delivering an authentic Mexican experience. The explosion of flavors in every taco is a testament to Patron's commitment to excellence. Whether you're a taco enthusiast or a newcomer to Mexican cuisine, Patron is a must-visit. For an unforgettable combination of outstanding tacos, welcoming ambiance, and top-notch service by Ibrahim, Patron stands out as the go-to Mexican restaurant in Vancouver.

We had been eyeing this place for awhile and we finally were able to make time to try it. We hit their happy hour menu which included house beer which was Mexican style, wine, and margaritas and highball. They had a good size food menu and we just stuck to that. Happy hour was 3 to 6, the place was basically empty, with about 4 tables inside around 430. When we left just after 6 it was starting to pick up. The front of house staff all seem to be Spanish speaking, not Mexican speaking as my girlfriend corrected me on. So gave the place a cool authentic feel. The venue is modern Mexican decor and plays loud Spanish music videos which gives a fun vibe. The food was good, and we were satisfied with the portions and food. As we only ate off the happy hour menu, it was good but nothing spectacular. Perhaps there are better dishes on the main menu. They give you some chips and salsa to start which is a nice touch. The service was attentive but the bar was a bit slow, I think they were just staffing up so it was a skeleton crew working. Overall good location and vibe. Many of the customers also appeared to be Spanish speaking so I feel the food must be legit. Give it a try. $$ to $$$.

Must see the picture of taco salad. We ordered Taco salad and instructed that do not add red pepper and put very few lettuce in salad. We were informed that salad is already made up so can’t remove red pepper. We said ok. When salad came and we started eating it was full of only lettuce. I called the person who took my order and informed that we specifically told that I will need very few lettuce as I don’t like it. She went to another person & talked to her about it. My Salad was changed but again some of salad was already missing and only lettuce were served. We called person again informed the thing once again and person was asked to get bill so we paid the bill and left. The staff was having no courtesy about customer’s inconvenience. There was one more lady I guess she was the owner or manager who knew about the incident but didn’t care about doing anything. We felt like we were cheated, we offered paying for what I ordered even we did not eat it. But staff showed no courtesy at all. So I would say it’s really bad experience!
