I was visiting from out of town. I called to place an order as the online order kept crashing. I spoke with the employee who answered the phone and tried to place my order. The employee kept getting the one item wrong and I would correct her every time that it was wrong and told her exactly what I wanted. This happened three times and the fourth time I asked for her to repeat it and again it was wrong. I once again explained I wanted the creamy Mushroom & Spinach Bake, add chicken and not the mushroom chicken fettuccini (It contains tomatoes and I’m allergic). She assured me she would fix it.
We picked our big order up and it was wrong. She once again placed the order with the mushroom chicken fettuccine and added extra chicken.
I contacted the store right away, the same lady answered the phone and was absolutely rude with me on the phone stating that’s what I ordered and I was wrong. I asked for the manager and he answered the phone and informed me his employee informed him as to what happened already. I said did she tell you I corrected her 4 times on the phone for this order and it was still wrong and if i had ordered the pasta she said i had, why would i ask to add chicken if that dish already had it.
I informed him i could not eat it due to an allergy and he told me the kitchen is closed. The manager asked if he could call me the following day and he would issue me a refund of 25$. I laughed and informed him due to the extra chicken that pasta cost me $35 plus tax. He agreed to reimburse me.
Two days go by and no word from the manager, so i call and get no answer. I called many times and no one answered the phone. I decided to use my daughter's phone and someone answered. I explained to the manager working that day and she apoligized, took my information and said she would get the original manager to contact me the following day.
Again, two days have passed and no one has contacted me and once again, i call and no one answers at any time.
You would think a manager would follow through and look into this. Not only was my order wrong but the employee was absolutely rude on the phone.
Our order was over $160 plus Tip!!! and i went without dinner that night!
Im appalled and disgusted with this resteraunt and how they...
Read moreThis place is back to what a Boston Pizza should be. The Manager Elyse has things under control and this place will be the flagship it should be...
Update again. Boston Pizza Stadium district sold ten days ago.. I found this out when I tried to use my gift card.. the Donnelly group used to own this place and they pulled a lot of hoodwinks and shadey moves.. like giving gift cards with zero balances but writing fictitious amounts on them to appease upset customers. The new owners gave me a new gift card and seem to be really nice. This location is awesome and with these new owners SHOULD be a place to frequent..
Update.. The manager(this is the manager that gave me the phoney gift card ) contacted me and apologized.. the treatment I received was from an employee and should not reflect the Restaurant as a whole... they have spoken to said employee and confirmed that this will not happen again.. It's nicè to see a restaurant take responsibility of an Issue and not just ignore it... ..
If I could rate lower I would. I went to watch an early hockey game.. before heading to thr Canucks game with a friend. The place was almost empty and I sat at a round table with four stools in the Bar area. I thought the waitress was come to ask me for my order.. I was asked how big my group WAS I said 0ne. SHE THEN SAID. YOU'LL HAVE TO MOVE YOUR NOT ALLOWED TO SIT HERE . I was then told I would have to move over to the side and sit at a table for two. The problem is in 6'1 250lbs and there was no way I was fitting between the guests already there. THE PLACE WAS FREAKING SMALL AND I FELT VERY UNCOMFORTABLE.. Here I am there to spend my money and I'm being told.. Hey go sit in between two single parents and there kids..Go over their and and be a good little boy. I'm very surprised that Boston Pizza would put greed ahead of customers. I usually go out in groups of 8-12 So I didn't know there was such a thing as discrimination based on the size of your party of guests. Got up and left.. Will spend my money where its wanted.... I hope every one that reads this uses their power of purchase and shows Boston Pizza that they won't take being cast aside and pushed around by their GREEDY CORPORATE...
Read moreThis is only the second time I've been to a BP. The first time was somewhere else and it was a much better experience. I'm not usually one to post a bad review, but this place was exceptionally terrible. Where do I begin....
I had to go to the bar to order drinks, and bring them to our table myself.
While at the bar, the bartender smirked and made a not so polite comment to me about one of the people in the group I was with.
The waitress showed up some time later. She was friendly enough. But there was definitely something missing, let's just call it lack of training. I went on a Tuesday, which is their pasta special night. Now imagine the kind of plain pasta dish a restaurant might serve as part of their kid's menu, noodles, sauce, and a little cheddar mixed in. Well, that's what I ended up with, only in an adult size portion. It desperately needed something! I asked if they had any fresh grated Parmesan, and the server asked me if I wanted the "fresh grated mozza parm, or cheddar parm"... Huh? Turned out they didn't have any left. I have a feeling they probably never have any, since she didn't seem to know what Parmesan is.
Still hopeful I could salvage my meal, I asked if there was any fresh Basil in the kitchen... I received 2 small dishes, one with Cilantro 👎, the other Parsley. So disappointing.
Then there's the beer special. If you pay a little extra $ you get a "Larger glass of beer". I poured a glass of water from the fill line of the usual size beer glass into the bigger one and it reached exactly the fill line for that glass. Don't waste your money!!!!
The only reason I gave this place 2 stars is because the space is nice and open with high ceilings. Also, because the waitress was friendly, and she did seem to be making an effort.
For a place with such a big name, I had expected to see someone from the company replying to some of the reviews. They probably think this location will stay in business because it gets the crowds from the stadiums, and so they don't feel any need to strive to be better. It's...
