My partner and I came here because I saw that this place had the highest rating of pho restaurants in the area, and I was eager to see if it lived up to the hype! I am very pleased to say that it really does! We had the rare beef and beef ball pho, a salad roll, and a sub. Everything was generously portioned, absolutely delicious, and a very good price! Also, the service was very fast and friendly. The broth was wonderful, a great and deep flavor, and the rare beef had a strong and delicious flavor as well. The portion of beef was generous too, which we very much appreciated. The chili oil really blew me away as well, it looked and tasted like it had some ginger in it or something like that, either way it wasn't just chilis from what I could tell and it was very yummy. All in all, what I'm trying to say is everything was very flavorful!
I absolutely agree with everyone saying that this is the best pho in downtown Vancouver! For me, it's one of the best pho places I've been to in BC! From the quality of food, to the friendliness of the staff, to even small details like a round slice of lemon in our water glasses, it was a great dining experience. The individuals working here to provide this experience obviously care about the high quality of their restaurant overall, and it shows! Keep at it, it's working. This will definitely become a regular restaurant stop for us, and I encourage anyone in the area to come here and try it out...
Read moreI just had an unpleasant experience as my first time here and will not visit again. We were a group of 6 people and had a late dinner at this place after watching a whitecaps game.
The food was ok, average I would say but the attitude of the lady helped us with our order was not professional. When I was asking for “house special beef noodles” she was pointing the one right under the “saytay noodle section” however it was very confusing the one with beef broth is also listed under the saytay soup area.
When I was trying to clarify, she interrupted me coupled times with impatience. It was rude and aggressive of her that won’t let me complete my sentence. And this is not the end, she charged us 18% tip due to we are considered as “large group” with 6 people. But there wasn’t a service at all !!!!except her muddle through our order aggressively.
She didn’t inform us ahead and she did lots of nonsense saying when helping us check out which I didn’t understood at all ( From what I heard was she was saying we are making thousands, 5 thousands of money so 18% is very small amount to us??!) anyway, my friends and I will not visit this restaurant again.
It was my first time paying 18.39 for a SINGLE SMALL House special beef noodle.
Whitecaps did 3 goals tonight and this unpleasant dining experience took...
Read moreI have been wanting to come here for ages and I’m so glad I did, new favourite! I got the #9 Pho with rare beef and beef brisket size large, I added jalapeño, extra basil and lemongrass chilli oil. The broth is really good, not overly salty like some other places. Portion was HUGE, they have 1 size bigger than this but I wouldn’t recommend it to most. Size large is MORE than enough. Service was really good. I have a gluten allergy and the server was really nice and explained to me my options. He also removed a bottle of sauce on the table containing gluten. A lot of other pho restaurants I have been to do not do this, they don’t seem to take allergies seriously I am not sure why…but this place was different and it was refreshing :). My one singular complaint would be that there was no music playing in the restaurant and it made for kind of an odd atmosphere, but I’m still giving 5 stars because the food and the service was just so excellent! I will...
