I had sushi here almost once a month whenever I went for a haircut as there aren't many other restaurants in the area. The sushi rolls were always average or better than average.

Today I ordered the chicken teryaki and it was terrible. Not sure what part of chicken it was as it was just covered by way too much Teryaki Sauce. It smelled like it was old or microwaved chicken. Now I've had chicken teryaki at many so many places but none of them tasted as yuk as this one. after having only a bite or two, I politely let the waitress know that the chicken was not something I would be able to have and I would appreciate it if I could order rolls as I've had them before and know they are good. She talked to the manager in the store, made a phone call and talked to someone else, came back and said: "If you'd like, our kitchen can turn this chicken into chicken teryaki rolls for you" I beg your pardon? I was very surprised and let her know that the chicken was not fresh and that it didn't matter wether the rice was on the side or wrapped around it. She said if I didn't want it and wanted to order something else I had to pay for this anyways and brought me the bill. I got up and talked to the manager. long story short, he basically accused me of wanting to take advantage even though I could literally only have two bites. Any ways, he finally said : " I'll let you go this time!" WOW....Will never set foot in that...

Service dog denied entry Yesterday evening I went in with a friend looking forward to having dinner & the manager refused my friend's service dog.

In a truly astonishing move the manager refused to talk to or look at us & stood at the counter while an employee was sent to tell us the service dog (with valid ID) was not allowed in the restaurant. I'm... at a loss for what to say. That decision was very much illegal & I can't imagine ever returning knowing what dubious ethical standards are in place here.

**Update post-management response: It's unsurprising to me that someone who denies service animals from entry would also have the disgusting audacity to lie.

We showed them formal identification for the service dog identification & informed them that what they were doing was illegal. There was zero misunderstanding about whether the dog was a service animal or emotional support animal and I'm disappointed that they've seemingly never been held accountable for creating a hostile environment for individuals who rely on...

I am one of your neighbours and long-term supporter but after the rudest ‘service’ last Sunday evening, I will be never returning. We came to your place at 8:20 pm and we were told that it’s last call to order - we obliged and rushed to order. The food came in quick and at 8:35 - as soon as we had our first bite - we were asked to pay and leave!!!! We initially ask to pay after our meal but your rude server kept insisting and pushing the bill in my husband’s hands! We paid cash and she never brought the change on top of it! There were plenty of staff there to intervene and prevent this ugly situation, but nobody cared! We were the last table left, obviously unhappy and complaining, yet everyone ignored us! You treated us like an inconvenience and I will never ever step in your place again. You have to really look at your business and ask yourselves if this is the kind of place you...

Well this is definitely not traditional Japanese sushi. Place is small, no traditional sushi bar seating but that’s cool (also no alcohol if you like sake or beer with your meal). Service is friendly but my sushi came out way too fast for it to have been made fresh considering the number of items ordered. Yes the rice seemed fresh but can’t comment on the fish as the spicy items (tuna, etc) were WAY too spicy, spiked with hot sauce or sriracha or something that overpowered the flavor of the sushi. I like spicy things but this was overboard and not how it should be done with sushi (Mexican food maybe). Price was inexpensive but considering how my mouth was burning and no offer of water just hot tea (definitely not cooling!), it really wasn’t worth it.

Ordered a Teishoku Set (chirashi), and salmon and tuna sashimi with a bowl of brown rice. The set has a nice variety with the oshi (pressed box) sushi, seaweed salad, miso soup, and the karage and mayo. The amount of fish was fair for the $19.95 price. The sashimi by itself was also pleasant and fresh, not weirdly fishy or 'frozen' as some establishments present. The salmon was not as thick of a cut, instead thinner and longer. The only issue I had was with the brown rice, which was a tad overcooked and mushy. The service was friendly and efficient, bringing both hot tea (and hot water as requested), checking in occasionally and being attentive to when we were finished our food.

Ok. Takeout Order. What stood out for me with this place was the sushi rice was overcooked. To the point of it puréing in your mouth, so it washed away with it any other taste in the roll. Unfortunate. The Pork Gyoza was nice. Tasty. I think the dip could’ve tried harder. Had more potential. Could’ve aimed higher. You know…a nice tangy, tart, citrusy, clean finish to a pan fried pork filling wrapped in phyllo pastry. This dip fell short. Yeah. It’s the over cooked sticky rice by about a week that’s got me. I think I still got some stuck at the roof of my mouth. Honestly, It was very average. Not Good. Not Bad. For the price point. Quite Fair.
