Weâve always appreciated how accommodating your team has been whenever we order our favorite drinks through the mobile app, especially with the simple request for a pup cup. Typically, after picking up our drinks at the counter, weâd ask for a pup cup, and the barista would hand it over immediately. Quick, easy, and part of what made our Starbucks runs enjoyable.
However, today was noticeably different. We were told we now have to line up at the counter and wait just to request a pup cup despite already ordering our drinks through the app. This new process completely defeats the purpose of mobile ordering, which is supposed to be more convenient, especially for those of us with furbabies in tow.
If the goal is to track pup cup requests, then please integrate this feature into the mobile app. And if thereâs a new policy in place, communicate it clearly. Add a notice in the app and place a sign at the store entrance so customers know in advance.
Your store is just a 5-minute walk from Swangard Stadium, a popular spot for people with pets. You should anticipate that many of your customers will be stopping by with their dogs.
We love our Starbucks runs, but this sudden, unexplained change was frustrating. Please reconsider the policy or at least improve how itâs communicated.
Sincerely, A regular (and loyal) customer...
Read moreThis has got to be the worst experience Iâve ever had at a Starbucks. It was my birthday, and the barista Alex refused to give me a birthday drink. She also happened to be a shift supervisor.
When she scanned the app for some reason, the birthday reward wasnât working, but the application indicated I have been a customer for 12 years and that in fact, my birthday today. I even offered to show her my drivers license to prove it was my birthday and she said this could all be fake. Iâm not sure why I would fake everything for a five dollar drink.
The cashier was in shock that his supervisor was treating me this way. I have asked the matter, but I would not go to the Starbucks. Itâs very unfortunate to be told on your birthday that it is not your birthday and your drivers license could be fake.
The way she was speaking to me in front of other customers was humiliating and absolutely demeaning and left me humiliated walking away, thinking how could a Starbucks employee treat customers this way on their birthday. Perhaps youâre having a bad day I donât know, but at least I know I will never return...
Read moreâThis was one of the most disappointing Starbucks experiences Iâve had. As someone who has worked at Starbucks before, I know the companyâs mission is all about connection and inclusion â but this store didnât reflect that at all.
The staff were generally unfriendly, and there was a noticeable difference in how they treated customers. A female partner with gold-tinted hair was warm and welcoming to the customer before me, but her attitude shifted completely when it was our turn. It felt like we were being treated differently, possibly based on race or appearance, which was really upsetting.
The barista with blonde streaks in the front of her hair was particularly cold. She smiled and greeted Western customers, but to us, she just called out the name with no greeting or acknowledgment. I even smiled at her, but she remained expressionless and dismissive.
I left feeling unwelcome and disrespected. I really donât see myself returning to this location.â
