I call this Starbucks "difficult Starbucks" because my visits are consistently challenging. To sum it up, rude staff who don't care is the problem here. Friends, here is the tale of what happened on my last visit:

Feeling calorically ambitious, I ordered a salted caramel mocha frap, half sweet. I like them half sweet because full sweet makes my pancreas explode. Anyway, problems started when she needed to know exactly how many pumps of syrup to put in.

"Half as many as you normally do," was my (sarcastic) answer.

"So how many pumps of mocha?"

Really?

Okay, I'll play along. I asked how many they normally have, she said three. Fine then, half of that. This continued on for the toffee syrup. At this point, I'm SMDH in disbelief.

The barista couldn't understand the ticket that their ordering system spit out and questioned me on it. I reiterated that I wanted a half sweet drink, which was, of course, no problem. She proceeded to make my beverage and handed it over. I took a sip... something was missing.

The salt! They neglected to put salt on. I love salt. So back over I went, waited in line at the barista stand, and let her know about the missing salt. Her reply was "Oh, we're out of salt."

blink blink

No one at any time had told me this. I asked her why no one said anything. She didn't have an answer but did apologize. They were just going to let me walk away with an improperly prepared beverage, and yet had no problem charging full-price for something they weren't able to prepare as advertised. I know it's only salt, but that isn't the point: if they had told me upfront that they were out of an ingredient, I would have picked something else, no problem.

To her credit, she offered to make me something else and was truly apologetic, which was very nice. However, as this was the most expensive drink on the menu and they were not keen on refunding the difference, I would have ultimately been overcharged for "anything else". I declined the offer and sprinkled on a little sea salt when I got home...

Being a frequent customer and also a paying customer at that, I needed to use the washroom. I was desperate. I was about to mess my pants. Did I mention I was a paying customer? I think I did. Washroom was open. I walked in but there was no toilet paper so I asked politely for toilet paper. Despite the fact that I was literally dancing around holding it in the baristas spent a lengthy time in the back. Eventually she came out with the TP and set it aside. Did I mention I was a paying customer and about ready to mess my pants. I approached the barista and informed them that I really needed to go. She was refusing to fix the no toilet paper problem in the washroom. So I told her again that I really needed to use the washroom and asked if I could just take the toilet paper. Just as she was refusing to hand over the toilet paper I reached in behind the counter grabbing the toilet paper. I then glared at her and said “I need this toilet paper”. Ya, with that level of treatment that location is the last place I go to. There’s a Tim Hortons across the street and when I’m in the area and a friend or family member suggests going for coffee I always recommend that Tim Hortons instead. In fact, when I have it my way I will choose to take a few extra steps to that...

The Starbucks coffe is crup except the blond roast in all locations, not even close to Waves Coffee Quality which i prefer and a local Canadian franchise, but has only over 60 locations in Bc and Alberta not in every corner like Starbucks mushrooms. But Starbucks blond roast is the only roast has decent amount of caffeine. But the staff here is realy friendly a speacialy that asian pretty girl at back office has a very warm welcoming angelic smile. When you have a bad day and went for a cup of coffee that served you with that kind n sweet smile, you will forget everything n will have a smooth day 😊 ☺️ 😀. I was with a painter buddy and a Chinese and a Mongolian sister for buiseness and was a great mood and bathroom was client but pity they didn't have 2 washrooms in almost all locations which they spouse to have like the waves has . I think they used the 2nd washrooms for storage in most Starbuckses. Metrotown mall food court Starbucks is my everyday coffee place rain or shine which a block away from my home for the last 25 years or so. The manager jessika is the most kind smiled sweet coffee queen and that tall Polland coffee kohani coffee queen are the best Ofcourse all staff is international...

Medium size store with a steady stream of customers. They have a busy drive-through. This location offers the products and service that customers come to expect of this popular chain. Free parking in their small lot, or by street meter and nearby residential street spots. #letsguide #covid

I tried the Apple Crisp Oat Macchiato at this location and it was outstanding. The barista put a lot of care into making it, and it turned out to be a delicious treat. I wish I had asked for his name. Thanks a lot!

The cashier was very friendly, the service was fine, and the coffee was decent—not bad. Perhaps they could add a few more seating options. A bit more cleanliness around the store wouldn’t hurt either.
