Happened just now. We ordered $64 of food, through skip the dishes. Once we received our order, we looked over it. We order: 2 plain udons, 1 order of maki roll, 1 order of the veggie combo, 2 orders of gyoza, 1 order of a dynamite combo and 1 order of spicey salmon. We looked over the food and we were missing a spicey salmon, one of my friends dishes. We called sushi wow and asked where our food was and gave them our order number so they could track it. It was a ten minute conversation through a girl then the manager. He basically told us saying that the staff had made the order and sometimes the staff make a mistake and misplace it then told us saying that he put it inside our bag then said put it on top of our bag. However, our bags were TIED UP at the top and nothing was going to be put in or taken out. In the beginning I just wanted to the food back, later I just wanted the money back. It was $4.75. I asked for a refund and he said "for the whole order?" I said "no just the for the spicey salmon roll." My friend took the phone later and asked him if we could get the refund. He said "you need to call skip the dishes for the money." Doesn't the money go the restaurant? She asked that and he said the money does not come till weeks later. What? Then how do you do your cash out at the end of the night. At the end, all we wanted was our money back. We asked Sushi wow if they could do anything, after the whole conversation, he said "uh...we can get another courier???" So you didn't think of that in the beginning? Odd. We tried to be polite as possible till the end but the story just kept changing as he explained to us what happened to the food. I didn't want to make it a big deal. We ordered 20 chopsticks (I know odd) we had lots of people who are sharing and they only gave us three chopsticks, the manager even thought it was odd. Just called skip the dishes and they said they'll deal with it and call...
Read moreThe prices make it look like a cheap basic sushi place, but this is legit good stuff! The menu is good value all around, but the prices for the combos in particular are insane, it's tons of sushi for the price of what could be one roll at comparable restaurants. Also the menu is huge with lots of interesting options, including special rolls with brown and black rice, and many vegetarian rolls. Sushi was what I was interested in, but there are plenty of entrees besides just sushi. I ordered and picked up takeout for a hang with some friends. I changed my mind about the roll I wanted in the middle of the call to order and then had to call back to add something I missed, but the person on the phone stayed very friendly and patient, which is amazing because I would've given myself a headache. I got the Black Tiger Roll and a Wakame Salad. I was drawn to this mainly because I wanted to try something with black rice, and the wasabi tobiko sounded interesting. It was very good! Besides just a nice combination of flavours, the ingredients seemed to be of good quality. The wakame was just what you'd expect but it was done right. Again, both the portion size and quality are above what you might expect at this price. I don't live near the Marpole area at all which is a shame because I would love to keep coming back and trying different rolls. If we ever have a get together at this friend's place again I will definitely be suggesting this place again though, and I don't think anyone will object since we were all...

I am not the one to make reviews but I believe that people need to know my experience. We had 2 bags FILLED with our food (shown in the pictures). We thought everything was there until we realized that they had forgotten to give us an order of their spicy salmon roll. I called the restaurant to find where the food was. At first we were really kind but it took us nearly 10 minutes for them to figure out a solution. In the 10 minutes, they kept changing their story to where our food could be. They even tried to blame the skip driver. The manager quote on quote said "Sometimes we misplace the food" then he said "we put the food on top of the bag" then changed it to "we put it in your bag" but our bags were too full there was no way it could've fallen out and the driver couldn't have gotten the food out as the bags were tied really tightly. We were a party of 20 and so we ordered 20 chopsticks BUT GUESS WHAT?? THEY GAVE US 3!! which resulted in more than half of us to eat with our hands. We are high school students and do not have all the time in the world. My friends and I would've gladly accepted the truth but instead they kept changing their story. Not to mention,I work at a restaurant that works with skip the dishes. If the restaurant forgets to bring the food to the person, the restaurant should pay for another skip driver. UNLESS the customer wants a refund instead. At the end we called skip and they said that they were going to call the restaurant.
10/10 WOULD...
