While the food was good I had a terrible experience their from their waitress. They were quite overtly racist in their body language and actions. I was forced to pay before my meal unlike anyone else in the store and they treated me with suspicion. The worst part was being told in the middle of my meal at they said i had to pay. No other table had to do that. I waited around to see if they did to just to be sure. I paid in full and got to enjoy my meal finally without the waitress making me feel like my face is on the dine n dash bulletin of shame, well as much as i could at this point after realizing i was forced to do this ridiculous accomodation to assure that u could afford my meal. I didnt tip because of the terrible service and i am one to always tip even if the server was having a bad day and had attitude or whatever.
If youre latino or native DONT eat here unless you want to feel that embaressment from being treated so poorly.
What a shame as the food was magnificent, it seems the chef had no prejudice and only put love into his labour as the food he produced was exquisite. however the asian waitress was very awful to me.
Ah i also forgot she wouldnt serve me a soju even though i had an ID ON ME. Seriously what a terribly racist restaurant, i saw them take the single ID of others but some how I was the only one required to have two ID to be served. Seriously what a hack that server was. If you know whats good for ya DONT TIP AND BETTER YET DONT EAT HERE.
I Will never return to eat here if i was in the nuclear apocalypse and this was the last place open. Especially if the waitress was still waiting the table, id just go ahead and shoot myself rather than deal...
Read moreWe have been regulars at Rib & Chicken since it first opened in Langley. After they expanded to Vancouver, we visited both locations on Renfrew and Granville Street, and the food has been consistently spectacular! While there are many Korean fried chicken places in the Lower Mainland, personally, I believe that Rib & Chicken is at the top. The batter is incredibly crispy and crunchy, with soft and juicy meat inside. Their signature tangy, sweet, and spicy Yangnyeom sauce elevates the fried chicken even further! Another sauce I would recommend pairing with the fried chicken is creamy honey mustard. What's unique about the Granville Street location is that they serve sliced kimchi, flattened fish cakes, and, of course, sweet pickled white radish cubes as side dishes. Personally, I find the kimchi to have the perfect amount of sourness that complements the fried chicken really well. Now, since this restaurant's name includes the word RIB, I decided to give the non-spicy pork back ribs a try as well. Ribs generally take longer to prepare than fried chicken, but the wait was undoubtedly worth it. The delectable juicy pork ribs with BBQ smoky taste, along with perfectly balanced meaty garlic marination, are an...
Read moreI ordered regular Half and Half Chicken with half Volcano and half Garlic fried chicken. It came around 15 pieces of fried chicken with korean pickled radish. The regular size fried chicken is meant for 2 people.
I would like the fried chicken to be a little bit crispier but this is in the good level of crisp. But the temperature of the chicken is just right. It didnt burn my mouth at all and it was hot and crispy until the last piece.
The volcano sauce is not too spicy for my Thai mouth it doesnt mean that it wasnt good tho. It was so savoury but too much sauce making it too socky.
While they put about the perfect amount of garlic sauce on. It is sweet and delicious but the slices of garlic on top were too hard. The texture of the sliced garlic was almost like sliced almond.
The staff was nice and friendly. The restaurant looks new and clean.
Overall it is quite a good restaurant. I probably come back to try more of what they offers, including pan fried meat and korean grilled meat...
