That's a great varieties, hits the spot for sure. Best of all is even though it's a small place, it doesn't get over the crowded like other locations can during peak hours in the summertime. The seating is not as comfortable as one would hope, but it makes good sense, considering they're trying to get customers in and out as fast as possible. They have a variety of different options for shaved ice, so if you want something different from your friends you certainly can have a more individual size helping of Shave Ice. Talking about this, makes me want to have some right now... Don't be afraid to try other types of desserts such as almond desserts or other Asian style hot desserts.
They have both in-house seating as well as ordering out options. Oh look quite quaint in size, it's fairly cute for what it is. Just don't be alarmed if you see some ants on the tables as this is quite common every time we go there. Just gently pick them up and put them on the windowsill or something and enjoy your food. I mean they like she dies too so you know hahaha aside from that place seems fairly clean as a whole. It is definitely one of my go-to's and has been for a while so if you can make it to this particular location, feel free to check out the other locations as well. The gear more towards Hong Kong style desserts then Taiwanese desserts in these locations aside from the shaved ice, so give all the other stuff a try I don't think you'll be disappointed. At least I surely wasn't when I tried the other stuff! A good tip, get it with ice cream if you want shaved ice. You can never go wrong with ice cream. Oh, I would also definitely try the honey toast, it is absolutely amazing. The only advice I'd give you is that you might need at least two or three people to help you eat it, since it is quite huge and quite feeling, considering it's almost like a brick of Chinese bread, or maybe a little less but not by much. All in all super delicious you won't regret it if...
Read moreI’m really upset about my experience today. I went today January 3rd, so this review is for the lady works tonight. I paid $20 for an item that cost $12.6, but the cashier gave me only $2.4 for change. But I didn’t notice the mistake until I was already in my car. When I went back to ask about it, she seemed more panicked than surprised, claiming I only gave her $15. No way a person can’t tell the difference between a single green $20 bill with $15 bills (because for 15 u gotta have at least 2bills right???) And I’m 100% sure I gave her a $20 bill because I paid with my friend’s $20 cash and immediately e-transferred her, 3 of my friends were there too and saw me giving the $20 to her, and I have proof of the e-transfer of $20 too. When I tried to explain this situation to her, she cut me off with a rude attitude saying, “can u just let me check first?” Then she just handed me the $5 without any word. No explanation, not even at least say she’s sorry about the mistake. It got me thinking If I hadn’t realize the mistake, that $5 prob go straight...
Read moreOur first time here because they don’t open until 3 (2 on Fridays and weekends) and we always seemed to be in the area and craving shaved ice earlier in the day. The AC is not very strong, so it’s not a great place to cool off while waiting for your order and it’s a bit of a wait. There’s not a lot of room between the 4 tables, so it feels tight. The washroom is through the kitchen; I saw that there are only two workers (one in the kitchen and one cashier/server) thus the wait. The cup shaved icy desserts we ordered were good, just difficult to mix so you have to eat the toppings before getting to the ice. I’d probably order the other icy styles next time - too bad there’s no durian...
