Whenever i had cravings for Indian food being in Vancouver i used to go Surrey or delta which is all the way one hour of hassle with Public transit and here we are suggested by a very kind friend of mine and as i am dairy and gluten intolerant i was assisted in such a kind way that you generally don’t expect from a “Desi” restaurant. The best thing about the restaurant was location, if you are in Downtown take a Rapid Bus to Commercial drive from waterfront and get down at Nanaimo Street and visit this beautiful Indian specialty restaurant. The Indian Chefs Cuisine
They had a king size menu. Basically you name it and they have it. From Samosa to Rara lamb they had every Indian specialty food which you do not expect from a restaurant in Vancouver. If you have been to Tasty Indian Bistro, the Vancouver one, i personally feel it’s too costly I remember going to a buffet restaurant at Broadway i won’t name it but it looked so grand and lavish but it did not had the same quality or quantity and I genuinely don’t know why big brands suck sometimes but @theindianchefscuisine made our night.
I went with bunch of my friends without adding any kind of butter the food was finger lickingly good. The only thing i think the restaurant should work upon is drink menu to have more juice and fruit shakes just to add more variety to drink section but other than this i have to say this that I have been to many restaurant before but the ambiance and customer service of The Indian Chef’s Cuisine will remain...

The spices weren’t balanced and it was too hot. The yogurt helped with killing the heat but still the only thing I could feel was the heat from paper(or chilli). I think it might be because the food is a South Indian food and I shouldn’t have ordered it here which is a North Indian restaurant. I also got Gulab Jamun. It was too sweet and I didn’t like it.
Old comment: The best food I’ve ever had in Vancouver! It was far beyond amazing. We got the non-veg special platter with butter chicken, shahi paneer, and goat curry. The dish came with rice, naan, and dessert. I loved the goat curry and Shahi Paneer the most. Butter chicken came next but absolutely amazing too. We also got the vegetarian platter with samosa, pakora, and Aloo tikki. I’m personally not a fan of vegetarian options but pakora was better than the others IMO. The staff were super helpful and helped us so much to pick a mix of delicious options. A big thanks to them! Service:...
