I visited this Tim Hortons, thinking I would have time to grab something quick before catching my bus.
I looked forward to ordering their new chicken sandwich, only for them to tell me that they don't have the patty ready. I am then asked if chicken strips are okay. I say sure... (I also asked if it would be ready before my bus arrives in 8 minutes, and I am told yes.)
Ten minutes later, I've missed my bus, and I'm told that they can't give me the chicken strips either because they're unable cook them properly, only microwave them.
The lady working then puts her hand out, holding a ham and cheddar sandwich and asks me if its okay for me to take it instead. Confused, I state that I asked for chicken...
However, at this point I'm hungry and in a rush to get out of the place before I miss my next bus, so I decide to accept the sandwich. When I open the sandwich, it has no cheese.
I gorge down the sandwich and am left unsatisfied, with still some time before my bus arrives, so I decide to return to see what else I can get.
This time I ask for the french toast breakfast sandwich, which I was also looking forward to. To my surprise, there is no french toast available. I'm then asked if another type of bread would suffice.
I say well, that would be downgrading, so what's the point. (I'm paying like 50 cents or so more for the french toast option as opposed to the regular options).
Real professionally, the lady says she will make me a deal and do two regular breakfast sandwiches for $5. I go for it, and wait ridiculously long for her to try and configure the terminal to charge me the extra 60 cents difference between what I had already paid for the french toast sandwich and the $5.
I've had enough, and I tell her I need to catch my bus. I'm let off without needing to pay the 60 cents, but ultimately I'm very confused and unimpressed with...
Read moreThis is the worst TH location I have ever visited. This sentiment is renewed at each new visit as well. Simple orders like coffee or tea are fine if you are comfortable waiting in line for 7 to 10 minutes, but if you order food, hunker down and prepare to wait for up to fifteen minutes. Today when ordering a non-customized breakfast sandwich and hashbrown, I sat and waited for 12 minutes. I was then asked if I wanted to substitute a donut for a hashbrown because they forgot to make hashbrowns for my order. I refused and had to wait an additional 3 minutes. The attendant who made the food verbally noted "wow you've been waiting a long time" after looking at his order display. No apology, just a spoken observation that reminded me how poorly-trained and ill-prepared the staff are. It should be noted that this location serves the very busy Canada line King Edward station and is a preferred hub for dozens of construction workers at nearby job sites. With those things considered, this location should never have been built in a tiny narrow unit that sits 12ish people. It is claustrophobic, loud, and in the winter, dirty. I have voiced my concerns via exit interview on the TH website, but nothing seems to change. Staff can't be held solely responsible, the problem starts at the franchise owner who won't adequately train or staff their location. The attached photo notes the upkeep of the exterior signs. This admittedly has been fixed since the time the photo was taken, but other maintenance issues such as burnt out menu screens and muddy floors have been...
Read more⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Service & Teamwork!
I had the pleasure of visiting Tim Hortons on Cambie Street by the SkyTrain station just before closing time, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of outstanding. Despite the late hour, Kamal and Nav were radiating positivity, working seamlessly as a team while ensuring the highest level of service.
The store was immaculately clean, and both team members were professionally dressed, welcoming, and genuinely happy to serve. Kamal took my order efficiently and served my orange juice with a warm smile, while Nav went the extra mile by heating up my Cheese Twist/Stick without me even asking—an incredibly thoughtful touch that truly elevated my experience.
What stood out the most was their dedication to serving customers right up until closing time with the same energy and enthusiasm as if it were the middle of the day. Their teamwork and professionalism reflect the very essence of exceptional customer service.
One thing I would love to see in the future is the option to leave a tip for outstanding service—because if that were available, I would have gladly left a 101% tip tonight!
A huge thank you to Kamal and Nav for making my visit memorable. Tim Hortons is lucky to have such dedicated employees! Keep up the amazing work!
