Trung Nguyen Cafe — Restaurant in Vancouver

Food is okay. We waited for a whole hour for two bowls of noodles and we are still currently waiting. The lady who arrived half an hour after us got to have her noodles first because she said she was in a rush. I wish the owner can value our time more :)

We also asked for a pot of ice tea, but it never came. Later on we asked for more hot tea(since hot tea was the only thing we had for the past hour). But the guy came and took our tea pot away and never gave us back the pot and let alone the tea... While I understand the restaurant is mostly run by only the guy and his wife, I also think it's important for a restaurant to be aware of what their capacity is and do not take more customers (and adding more tables in the back in order to fit everybody) but is unable to provide services in a timely manner (I'm speaking of an hour of wait here). PLUS they didn't ask for...

Likely a tough day for the duo, but just things to consider. (1) teacup had lipstick on it and the teapot itself looked very dirty, (2) the 2 bowls of food we received weren't not actually the items we ordered but after waiting an hour for food, pickers can't be choosers [it happened a few times where the gentlemen approached multiple tables, as I guess they are not writing down orders], (3) the waitlist notebook is full and quite dirty, so I don't think it's been used in a while, (4) as mentioned by another poster, food does not necessarily come out in order of when you order, so not entirely fair, (5) vaccination passports were not checked [only saw 1 table go through this step]. The food we received was good and the greens were very clean and fresh, but everything else neutralized...

I was driving down Victoria to find a pho restaurant that had parking but couldn’t find any. So I decided to drive down kingsway to find a pho restaurant and came across this place that had available parking spots. They also have parking in the rear.

I wasn’t expecting anything special because it’s the first time trying this restaurant. To my surprise it’s actually really good. I ordered the Hu Tieu and it’s very unique with a lot of flavour. The seating was easy with no waits and plenty of tables. The prices are fair. All in all, I was really happy eating here. The flavour is unique here and reminds me of Vietnam. Keep in mind though, this place is cash only.

I didn’t even google this place before trying it and I have to say that I’d eat here again many...
