Uncle Abe's, though alluring with its dive bar charm and unique proposition of serving Mediterranean food from next-door Mitra's, left an impression that was decidedly mixed. The burger, which basically tasted like a donair sandwiched into a bun, was an unusual take on a classic, and the loaded fries hinted at slightly dated fryer oil, only masked by copious spice-heavy toppings. The environment, too, was less than impressive, the maintenance of both the patio and the interior leaving something to be desired.

One area where Uncle Abe's decidedly fell short was the restroom cleanliness – it was, simply put, in desperate need of a good scrubbing. However, even amongst these less appealing aspects, there were some redeeming factors. Their pet-friendly approach was a pleasant surprise, complete with doggie drinks that our canine companion greatly enjoyed.

Service was another bright spot in our experience. Our waiter was both laid back and attentive, providing a breath of fresh air to our visit. Yet, despite the charm of doggie drinks and a friendly server, I'm hesitant to return, given the overall experience.

In essence, Uncle Abe's is a no-frills neighborhood bar where you might want to stop by for a couple of cheap drinks and a relaxed evening. I can see why people would be drawn to it, with the good happy hour prices. While the pet-friendly policy and option to order food made next door is great, cleanliness and maintenance could use attention. Ultimately, for me, Uncle Abe's is a one-time visit to satisfy curiosity rather than a...

Aw I used to love coming here but my last visit left a poor taste in my mouth. I ordered my regular drink, a vodka soda short, which I make a short glass gesture with my hands everytime as it is loud in there. The bartender/server comes back with a tall glass and I politely say “I know it is loud in here so no worries at all, but I ordered a short, may I please get a short?” And she hesitates, scoffs, and then tells me “ha, well you did say Tall but sure, I’ll make you a short” and walks away before I could reply to her. It left a sour taste in my mouth and kind of ruin the beginning of my friend and I’s night. As we usually like to come here… I let it go but I work in hospo and I would never speak to someone in that way. Just to clarify for fifteen years I’ve drank this drink, I’ve never ordered it tall, I specify short because places defaulty make it a tall so I like to save the...

I’m sitting on the patio as we speak and our server is super rude. He just walked away while we were mid order. We asked if cocktails were 8 dollars as we weren’t sure if that price applied during happy hour. His response was “that’s what it says”. Super short with us, we’ve been nice and gracious the entire time, not even asking for much, just ordering some drinks, and he’s been annoyed with us since we got here. His friends are here at the next table and they’re getting all the service, we’ve been waiting 15 minutes for every dunk order.

I get it’s a pandemic and we are all upset and struggling, however I find it offensive that he is at the next table where his friends are sat, being pleasant as ever, yet when he comes to our table he just seems immediately annoyed?

First time here,...

Amazing experience at uncle abes patio that totally made our day today when we finally went out for a fun dog day since it wasn't too hot out. The thoughtful gentleman with calm and cool vibes helped us so much and made the watermelon treat even way more special than we expected. Most tasty treat besides paté that he's probably had ♥️ Also I was surprised they returned a missed call from me and answered something I was curious about regarding the whipped cream.. exceeds expectations but finding out the whipped cream contains sugar was disappointing and seemed to be bad for dog unfortunately

Uncle Abs is a really cool spot with a super chill vibe. I had the cheeseburger, zucchini sticks, and dry ribs—everything was solid, but the zucchini sticks especially stood out. Crispy, flavorful, and honestly, some of the best I’ve had. Service was fantastic—friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Great place to hang out, grab some good food and drinks. I’ll definitely be back!
