Vera's is back on our rotation. I tried the Canuck Burger well done with usual suspects and it was delicious. They did a great job!

Also you can't go wrong to get their poutine. 8 dollars and you get lots of it.

So, they are still pricey. But the food is good.

I can't recommend this place anymore. A small portion of onion rings costs10 dollars.

I ordered the canuck burger & onion rings for 2. 50 bucks. Outrageous.

They also serve the hamburgers on the red = raw side. Ask for well done if you don't like raw.

I complained & they offered to refund me but never did. Nor did they respond to my emails.

Stay away from this tourist trap.

--- 2021 The burgers are excellent. If you like a bacon cheese burger get the Canuck, my favourite.

They recently changed the buns and they are great- not too big so you can get a bite in your mouth.

However be aware they are pricey $$$. Canuck Burger with onion rings will set you back 20 dollars. So not everyday eating, for me.

What takes the sting out is if you download the Vera app, you can collect points to get a free burger. Optionally you can add your credit card and order ahead.

All in all if you want a good burger "You can't beat...

I was downtown and decided to walk back to Kitsilano where I live. When I crossed the burrard bridge I started to get hungry. Along the way on Cornwall there are two burger places. I decided to bypass the first one and go to Vera's. The restaurant was a bit empty. There was only one booth occupied. Also there was only one guy in the kitchen. He was taking orders and cooking. Some orders to be picked up and mine to go. He told me that my wait was 20 minutes. I got my burger and fries and walked home. The burger was great and tasty. I asked for bacon in it and it was delicious. Unfortunately the fries were not good. I even tried to reheat them using my microwave. In the end dead fries were just dead unsavory fries. I will come back and buy more burgers. However if I order fries I will eat them there to find out if maybe the trip from Vera's to my place was the problem. Overall I will come back and try Vera's delicious burgers...

The food was good and service was mediocre. I explained that it was our first time going to Vera's Burger Shack and all the cashier did was look at us and say ok. I was hoping for a little more interaction like explaining the menu, giving us suggestions, but she did was stand there and wait while we try to understand what the special sauce was, how to choose our patty, toppings, side options, those type of things. A line started to build and I didn't want them waiting any longer so I rushed through my order and just got what I got. Now yes I can read and understand English completely since it is my only language, but what happened to customer service? I felt like I had to give her service of knowing the menu.
