Pane Fresco at Fortinos — Restaurant in Vaughan

Honestly the best pizza in Canada that I have tried. The Pizza is 5 Stars out of 5 Stars. The Stinger is phenomenal. The other food is decent at best and over priced but it’s the pizza that shines. Must try. If you don’t enjoy spicy/piccante then try the mushroom pizza, but the hot honey with the little thin pepperonis are like foot and boot. The pizza is not thin, I do enjoy that Napoletana style pizza but I enjoy the Roman Style Pizza al Taglio over it any day. The dough has a nice crisp and crunch. The air bubbles are amazing. The dough is light yet chewy but in the best way possible. Nice char. It’s always consistently made well. You don’t feel bloated after eating it (which i assume is due to proper fermentation). I would give them A Five Star with respects to their pizza only. The only reason I’m giving a 4 star is because i feel bad giving them a lower review because their food in general is 3/5 but the pizza pushes that rating up. I love this pizza!!!!!!!! I can eat...

Employee smudged our cake

A day Before Easter, I visited the desserts section and the young, female worker (don’t know name and would be helpful if nametags were on them) quickly grabbed my tiramisu cake (small dessert) and put it in the box and we didn’t know she probably purposely smudged the side of the cake. Purposely because the smudge was so large a whole thumb was there. We know it was her because no other employee handled the cake. I wish I had a photo.

What’s worse I think at that moment she quickly turned back to hide from us licking her thumb… also evidenced because after small gestures indicated her thumb was sticky and rubbing it off...

I go to this Fortinos all the time. Their lunch soups and most of their sandwiches start selling at 11am. Today I got an Italiano. Half size. They have a half size sandwich and small soup combo for $8.99 but the soup wasn't ready so I just got the sandwich. I was early for lunch around 10:40am. I have gotten this sandwich many times, today it was lacking in topping but generally their sandwiches are better. I was served right away. Friendly staff today. It cost me $5.05. I've been here other times when the service at Pane Fresco...
