I'm hesitant to make a review because I've been going here for 25 years, and I live close by. I don't know if the owner/manager is loosing money or just cheap but I'll just start with something simple. You know how much pride a business/ establishment has when you walk into their washroom. Most of the time lately the men's washroom was filthy and don't even bother refilling the soap dispenser.. I know they're busy at times but there isn't a regular assigned cleaning staff member going around the tables. At times and maybe more recently their customer service has been better but I feel like most of the time it's sub-par. It's tough these days to have any pride and self respect working at a fast food joint. But I'll tell you somehow over the years Wendy's manages to meet many expectations. I've never gone into a disgusting Wendy's where the ceiling is leaking in multiple spots or where the washroom wasn't clean. Typically the Wendy's front counter staff are at least mildy pleasant. .. unfortunately this location needs to grow up with the times and improve their worker training and better increase worker satisfaction. This is the worst fast food place I venture. And the chicken pieces at least on Tuesdays are hit and miss with many small pieces. They've even stopped offering spicy pieces on Tuesdays even though they advertise a promotion, their service sacrifices with it. It's just sad. And I'm glad as it helps me get healthier in turn for avoiding this junk. This place looks outdated, service is hit and miss, mostly a miss. Food quality is okay but leaves more to be desired. With all the prices hiked up you'd think you would still get good service and food to go with it. If you can just avoid this place and let it die like it's parking lot is. There's more large pot holes in the parking lot than holes in the ceiling.. .. having said all that the CenterPoint mall location was decent! At least the last time I was there.. 🙏😊 .TBH I hope someone worthy reads this, smartens up and makes this place worth going to. But it may be a while before...
Read moreHow on gods green earth this cursed location managed to garner a staggering 3.1 stars on Google is beyond me- maybe management asked employees to ask their entire extended families to throw up some five-stars... Also, note: my prior review for this location from a few years ago was removed... interesting! Anyways, this location is remarkable in one thing and one thing only: how incredibly consistently HORRIBLE it has remained all through the years. Granted, my experience today exposed me to an even newer, lower, low. The concept of freshness seems to completely evade this locations management and employees- very clear that pride in product is of absolutely no concern to them, and I'm not entirely sure why... is it that due to the high-traffic location they don't expect many return-customers due to the transient nature of clients in such an area? Or that they know that idiots like me (we exist) will revisit time and time again even after being disappointed untold dozens of times, simply because there's no other TB/KFC nearby to get this stinking fix at? The food, service, and atmosphere here are a perfect extension/accompaniment to the adjacent parking lot, which, had you just been propped up in the middle of, you'd think you were visiting Iraq in 2003. But that's a wider issue with whoever owns/manages said lot. This KFC is actually laughably horrible- from the incredibly long waits, the completely dimwitted staff incapable of employing their short term memory successfully enough to get your order right, to just the utmost worst representations of the franchises dishes- prepared with less than no care, and somehow always screwed up, despite being an entirely automated process. As I said, both the workers and the management simply lack any pride in what they do- this is merely a means to surviving for them, they couldn't care less with even meeting a bare minimum standard for the customers sake. Truly never again. A...
Read moreThis store refused to refund my $40. Absolutely the worst KFC experience I’ve ever had.
On December 25th, 2024, around 4 PM, I placed an online order for chicken. The store was closed that day, so the order was canceled. The total was $40 ($35 for the food and $5 for delivery). Simple situation, right? Apparently not.
Since then, I’ve contacted the store every week and reached out to customer support multiple times. Still no refund. Every time, I get the same excuse: “next week, next week.” It’s now been five months. The staff clearly don’t communicate with each other, because I have to explain the entire story from the beginning every single time. I’ve been promised callbacks again and again, but not once have they actually called me back.
Today, I went to the store in person. Surprise: the manager wasn’t there. I explained everything again to a different staff member, and they laughed about it being “something from five months ago.” Then, he told me they couldn’t issue a refund because it had happened too long ago, and instead handed me some food. I couldn’t believe it—I just wanted the refund I was promised.
This is disgraceful service. I’ve been more than patient, but enough is enough. If this issue is not resolved immediately, I will be filing a formal complaint with Ontario’s Consumer Services.
I have waited five months for a refund that should have taken five minutes. Absolutely unacceptable. I demand...
