To find a restaurant with excellent food is a pleasure. To find one with exceptional service is a rarity. And yet, at Pür & Simple, one is greeted by a man who does not merely host but who performs a kind of morning alchemy, turning the leaden stress of a weary world into the gold of a perfect start. That man is Carl.
Carl is not just the first face you see; he is the architect of the experience. He possesses a preternatural talent for hospitality that feels both timeless and utterly genuine. With a voice that carries the warm, steady timbre of a well-brewed coffee and a smile that could sunny-side-up the gloomiest of mornings, his greeting is less a transaction and more a welcome home.
He operates with the graceful efficiency of a maestro conducting an orchestra of waitstaff, coffee pots, and sizzling skillets. Amid the Sunday early afternoon cacophony, he is an island of calm competence, his eyes missing nothing.
But Carl’s true artistry lies in his management of the inevitable wait. He doesn’t just take your name; he gives you a promise. “It will be 5 minutes, and I will have you at that corner booth. Your coffee is on the way.” And sure enough, in eighteen minutes, he glides through the crowd, meets your eye with a knowing nod, and leads you not just to a table, but to precisely the spot he envisioned for you. He makes you feel not like a number in a queue, but a guest he has been expecting.
Carl is the soul of that restaurant. He is the unfailing beacon of civility and warmth, a man who understands that breakfast is not merely the first meal of the day, but a ritual, a hope, a fresh start. The omelets are fluffy, the bacon is crisp, and the coffee is strong. But the most nourishing thing on the menu is the gracious, impeccable hospitality of Carl himself. He doesn’t just seat you; he sets the tone for a...
Read moreSo here goes- I really wanted to give this place a 5 star.. many have. Based on my experience, it is not a five-star brunch/lunch spot yet. A solid 3.5- 4 stat. The service we received from Nadia was lovely. She had good energy.
Our drink orders still came out 15 mins after it was ordered.
The food I ordered lacked Luster, the fries were okay - but mainly fries for an overly priced dish. Eggs were cooked well. The 1 sausage that came with the meal was undercooked and way too much bacon for 2 pieces of toast. It is a bright and vibrant environment.
Our hostess was NOT the mostest- we asked to be seated in the more lively area, and she went ahead and seated us in the back with kitchen and coffee machine in view.
Customers should be allowed to sit where they want, especially if that section we wanted to sit in was OPEN!
MY FOOD - It was not great, very average- id say price wise worth 8$. I eat out often, and this place is not a 5 star.
I'd go back to try other dishes; maybe I just ordered a dish they aren't known for, lol.
The French toast that was on the Candian breakfast I ordered was old it seemed and cold! Maybe it was sitting out too long to be delivered to the table!
I am sure some food here is good. That's why all the good reviews.
The back bacon was also overcooked, or ham was it.. who knows...
It is a good hangout spot.
They also have no yogurt and fruit breakfast combos- u have to order that seperate. My coffee was cold also.

Read moreI came with my family to the restaurant, all was going ok, not excellent, but ok until the food was brought. The server brought the wrong skillet and once aware of this, she never apologized for the mistake but did her doe diligence to take it and ordered a new one that was taken for ever. She assured my daughter that it was not going to be charge for it as it was their mistake so my daughter on her way to the bathroom payed for the whole order, minus the skillet. The family was still eating and waiting for the missing meal. We finished our food and the skillet never came and the server came to tell us that the manager refused to give the skillet for free. To begin with, we never asked for a free meal, it was offered because of the mistake on the order. Did she ever apologize, not, she deflected the problem to the management team. Once I approached the manager, she also made no effort to offer any kind of apologies. This is my second time having an issue with this restaurant, the first time I was charged for a coffee I did not even order. I strongly recommend better training, better customer service and care for their customers. I can add a few other things that happened before the order fiasco, but will leave it at this and hope for someone to reach out for a...
