I've ordered take out from here a couple times in the past and never received such deplorable service. The food is okay but the server Han Ly that took my order was not inviting and cut me off several times when trying to ask questions about the menu. I also felt very rushed as it was a takeout order. Han did not seem to care about actively listening to help answer the questions I had.

I was told my order would take 20 minutes to prepare, my sister placed an order as well, so we walked around the mall and came back in time to retrieve our food.

I should've trusted my instincts and not continue to order here because upon returning to collect our order, there was another server bagging our food that had peanut shellings all around the counter. My sister who is allergic to peanuts, politely asked to have Han bag her order, and immediately Han and the other server laughed, whilst proceeding to speak in either Cantonese or Mandarin.

I proceeded to interject and advised the server bagging the order that my sister is deathly allergic to nuts. That server proceed to yell at us repeatedly to take our orders and leave. Other customers eating close by were looking on.

It's unfortunate I had this experienced this as I was first brought to to this restaurant who recommended eating here.

I certainly will never return to this restaurant. Word to the wise, speak up the moment you experience poor customer service from the onset, and take your money elsewhere.

Lastly, the above described incident occurred on my birthday. This was sour end to a lovely day spent celebrating with family.

Very...

YAKKKKKK.... 🤮🤮🤮 ⛔❌📛🛑DONT GO THERE if you want to eat something tasty and be respected. 🛑📛❌⛔ ❌❌DONT GO THERE IF YOUR SKIN COLOUR IS BROWN OR BLACK.❌❌ They gave us a dirty and judgmental look when we entered. They did not even ask us to sit. When we settled they did not even come to take the order. We called them to take the order and they served the food properly. But never come back to ask if we need anything. They did give us any water, we had to ask them for water. Then they decided to serve water on a whiskey glass and no water jar or bottle or any. Then we asked again for refile. Food was not as tasty as we expected but was okay. At the end when we paid bill, I paid a round figure of $70 for $65 bill. The waiter was asking that I did not pay enough tips. ⛔🛑❌THEY HAD THE AUDACITY TO ASK FOR MORE TIPS WITHOUT PROVIDING ANY SERVICE, WITHOUT EVEN SERVING WATER ON A TABLE. ❌🛑⛔ When we decided to leave they even stopped us and was asking if we want TIP they with cash or on card !! I was so furious and disappointed. The whole time they were doing anything except giving us a look and now they stopped us for more than $5 tips. I wouldn't mind Tipping them more if they provided us some kind of respect we deserved at least. On the other hand we were not only paying extra attention to the Chinese customer but also were playing with their kids. SO DISAPPOINTED AND ONE OF THE WORSTE PLACE ON THE...

Horrible takeout experience. I ordered online at 5:08 for pickup at 6:30. In the comments of the online order, I stated that I wanted NO SPICE, but entry field limited to 20 characters so couldn't elaborate. When I got the confirmation email, my "NO SPICE" comment wasn't on it, so needed to call to confirm... Took almost 20 minutes to then get through to confirm the NO Spice... When I went to pickup, I got there 5 minutes early(6:25) in case the order was already done, at that point I was told 10-15 more minutes. At about 6:40, I was told 10 more minutes. Then I was again told another 10 minutes. I ended up getting the order at 7:05, 35 minutes after the time I had ordered it for... During the time I waited, saw lots of people who had ordered after me(I could see the times on the receipts) being served before me. Horribly frustrating as I had 2 other families at my house waiting for me... I'd love to hear from the manager of your restaurant to discuss this... Food good, service again SUCKED, looks like they prioritize Uber/DoorDash...

From Jan 2022... Birthday dinner for my son... Couldn't get through by phone to order(tried for about 25min), online didn't have the options I needed, went to the restaurant and ordered, said it would take 40min but took 70, some of it wasn't 1/2 as good as out last time... All of the delays meant we were eating an hour+ after we...

Worst restaurant experience! We ended up deciding to eat at this place at Vaughan mills and it was our biggest mistake. We ordered the same dish for both me and my husband and my husband’s dish had barely any chicken, and when he asked the person at the counter, he said your wife must have ordered the one with extra chicken and that’s why she’s got more chicken than you. I am attaching our bill to show that we just ordered exactly the same item without any customization. There are no extra chicken or whatever options available at this place. My husband didn’t bother arguing and he just wanted to leave this horrible place and he had lost his appetite. I still wanted to share my experience with the staff at the counter and I was shocked with her behaviour and answer. She tells me “why don’t you give some of your chicken to your husband” I mean seriously? I guess she didn’t have to tell me that, and also had it been a colleague or a friend would you still expect me to do the same? When I told her why would you say such a thing, she just ignored our whole conversation and just randomly moved on. If you want to be treated by arrogant, ignorant, rude restaurant staff who are going to leave you with no appetite this is just the place. And when you read other reviews and talk to people, apparent this place is known for ignorant rude staff

I was exploring Vaughan Mills while visiting from Vancouver. At first, I wanted to go to the food court but nothing excited me. I suddenly craved for noodle soup, so I went into this place. At first, I was a bit confused as there was a drink stall and a sushi stall in front of this “restaurant.” Then I purchased a braised beef noodle soup and was given a ticket. It looked like a mini food court inside where you could get your own water. Looking at the ticket, I realized I was in their “fast dine” area, basically it was a section separated from the restaurant to allow customers eat their take out food. Noodle was put in a take out bowl, while the broth was put in another take out soup tube. The amount of beef and vegetables was generous, even though I preferred more noodles 🍜 The broth was flavourful. You could also get extra soy sauce or hot sauce like getting your own take out if needed. The place was not perfectly clean, but was acceptable. I was there at 4:40 pm in a Tuesday afternoon, so there were not many other customers and I could take my time. Meanwhile, quite a few people came in for take out, I assumed this was quite a popular spot. I saw two boys came in just to get some water. The staff saw it but did not say anything. It was surprisingly kind of them.

After being a long time customer of the Szechuan Express in the Eaton Centre when I worked downtown, we went to the sit down restaurant at Vaughan Mills. Nice atmosphere, very clean. Menu offerings are plates to be shared. Our selections included Crispy Ginger Beef (my favourite and very difficult to find a good one) and Sesame Chicken with two orders of steamed rice. The food comes out very quickly but in no way seems like it was sitting around in a hot table (be prepared for it to be the temperature of the sun if you dive in too quickly). Crispy Ginger Beef was just like I remembered it. Hot, crispy with ginger and heat and perfectly paired with steamed rice. Sesame Chicken was good but not nearly as good as the beef. Servings were generous with enough leftovers for another meal for two (need to add steamed rice). Staff were very attentive and even brought over a pitcher of water for the table when they saw our water glasses emptying. Just a warning that drinks are not refillable.
