A&W Canada — Restaurant in Vernon

This was my 109th eatery in Vernon on my quest to eat at every eatery in Vernon.

I haven't eaten at an A&W in about three years and this was my first time eating at the one in the mall in about five.

A&W's increased prices pushes it out of that fast food range.

I ordered a Beyond Meat burger for $9.05. For some reason the guy behind the counter didn't offer me a receipt. He seemed tired, and wasn't in the friendliest mood. It's not a big deal. We all have days like that.

It took under a Beyond Meat Burger to be made. I never thought I would say this, but the service was almost too fast.

Overall, it had that distinct A and W taste.

One annoying thing: At every A and W in the world, they always ask if you want cheese without specifying it costs extra. Cheese is such a basic ingredient you wouldn't think it costs extra.

I was satisfied with my Beyond Meat Burger. I wouldn't spend close to $15 for a full combo as we're pushing restaurant prices at that point.

The food is always ready for me to pick up when I get there, they're friendly, and the one time I had an issue it was a bug in the online system and the fix was painless.
