Divya Sutra 27 Street Grille — Restaurant in Vernon

Definitely needs some upgrading on the menu. 1 processed cheese slice, thin sliced tomato, the sandwich was supposed to be toasted but it was hot filling in a soggy bread outside. The fries were those skinny fries and a lot of 1 cm long pieces. No gravy for the fries!! I didn't try the indian food which apparently is good. They also close breakfast at 11am but they should be until at least 2pm. Not going back. The servers were super nice and seemed so proud of the food so I did not complain. It was clear thats the way they do it. So it's off my list for sure. My friend with me was not impressed either. Oh and the coffee cups are just over the size of an expresso cup.... they do refill but not the experience I like for a diner. I'll go back to my regular hot spot!

Just adding they served us what they said was ketchup but it was tamarind sauce and then when they brought out the ketchup it was in a mustard...

27th Street Grille was my 156th eatery in Vernon on my quest to eat at every in Vernon.

I paid $20.14 after a 15 percent tip and tax for a veggie burger, fries, and a can of root beer.

They will be installing a soda fountain next week and will be expanding to dinner hours.

The burger and fries has a menu price of $14.

Yes, the burger is quite small, but it is decent value. Plus the fries have the perfect crispness to it.

I think comparatively to larger burgers elsewhere, this is on par ratio wise.

The server was quick and friendly.

I recommend giving this place a try.

Note: I wish they gave out some mayo with the fries too or a larger cup of ketchup. I would rather not wave a waitress down to...

I will be recommending The 27th Street Grille to everyone. They just reopened with a new incredible Chef and serve Authentic Eat Indian food as well as Western eats. I had Lamb Curry, it was very tender, delicious and came with Naan, Rice and salad for $18. The portions were very generous and I had to take half my meal home with me. The service was great, very friendly and attentive staff(Carey was very wonderful). Suni the chef came out and checked on us to make sure we were enjoying our meal. They made us feel like family. Definitely a excellent go to for Authentic East Indian...
