I loved the atmosphere of this place, most customers were couples and the elderly on a Sunday morning. The decorations of the restaurant is on point and the blue paint made me feel nice, fresh, and awake when dining here for breakfast (I kinda sound cheezy but it's true)!!! Most of the time when I review places, one of the things I consider is the state of their washroom and the women's washroom here was spacious, clean, and had 2 mirrors and it wasn't the stall type of washroom you'd find in most restaurants, only one person can use it at a time. The food was okay. My companion had the Smoked Salmon Benedict (which comes with hash browns) and I ordered a combination of sides because: one, I wasn't that hungry and two, didn't find a menu item special enough to try; so I asked if I could only order side orders and the lovely waitress told me that I can! So I ordered 2 eggs (which you can have in any way you want) for $2.75, guacamole for $1.00, whole wheat toast for $3.00 and hash browns for $3.00. The hash browns were not good honestly, they were greasy and not fresh. My companion complained about the hash browns too. The service was great and the prices were reasonable. They did have juices but when I asked if they are fresh, I was told that they are not, so I ordered coffee and asked if they have any cow milk alternatives (soy or almond milk for example) and unfortunately they didn't have those either which sucks because I'm intolerant to cow milk (and so are a lot of other people and also vegans)! Lastly, we had a 15% off because we stayed at the Inn overnight which is why we tried this restaurant in the first place! So, in short, I'd recommend this place for one time dining but would probably not be back myself the next time I'm...

I would have given it a 5 star review instead of a 4 if it wasn't for what happened after our meal. Even though we enjoyed our meals on the evening of Monday 10th October, when i asked our server for our bill,he presented it for just over 82 dollars (which was okay) but when i asked him to make it up to 90 dollars to include a tip,he responded that he didn't know how to change it and pressed the 15% tip button to make our final bill over 94 dollars! Even though I'm a tourist to Canada,i know that you don't tip on the tax! When our server walked off in a huff to try and change it,my partner called him back over and paid him 90 dollars cash instead! On our way out,she overhead him criticising us to the couple on the next table! I had the impression that giving a tip was a privilege and not a right! I wish now that I'd just paid the original bill without leaving the tip! I later did the calculation and worked out that before tax,our bill was 77 dollars and with the voluntary 15% tip came to just over 89 dollars! So in fact I'd given just slightly over the 15%! I'd describe the server as a tall very slim guy with long wavy hair. This experience has put me off ever going back to their restaurant even though myself and my partner enjoyed our evening up to that point and i was going to leave a more positive review of...

I want to start by saying we were in a hunt for proper pub food, as we were visiting from north Island. I should also say I'm a chef, and have been in hospitality for 30 years. I could also just tell by observation that this is family owned, at the time we went, I believe the mom was the owner, her teenage sons were serving.....🫣😒..... First, we waited at least 20 min to recieve our drinks, I ordered a very watery cocktail, my partner coffee and juice. The atmosphere on our side looked very un pub like, which was fine, but we were starving at this point. I ordered the steak sandwich with mashed potatoes.potatoes were bone cold, the steak was so chewy, I could barely swallow, and I left almost my full meal there. We weren't asked one time if our food was OK, and I didn't send it back, aside had already sent back my drink, didn't ask for a discount, because of frustration. The service was just inexperience I think, but still made the effort not worthwhile, we had waited for a half hour through downtown traffic, passed all the food trucks to go here, and the disappointment was REAL. Owner may want to research pub food, or maybe a restaurant consultant. I am always behind family and small business, but this was a 60 plus...

EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF. We went in for breakfast and ordered two coffees among other items, but we were charged for three coffees. Since I can’t handle much caffeine, I asked my boyfriend for a small sip of his coffee, and he didn't request a refill either. When we questioned our server about the extra charge, he was extremely rude and loudly insisted that even if I just had a sip, it counted as a third coffee. He also told us we couldn't share coffees. The food was absolutely delicious, but our experience was soured by this encounter. We ended up paying for the extra coffee that we neither ordered nor received, but it was the principle of the matter. We've never heard of couples being unable to share their meals without being charged for two items when only one was ordered.
