I was so excited to try this ice cream shop so I still stopped by even when my bus was minutes away. I tried the chocolate and vanilla scoops. The ice cream was just okay with weird after taste (or it may be the wooden spoon). The waffle cone was yummy tho. I only gave it a 1 because the lady behind the counter was not too nice. I asked for a waffle cone but we needed to wait for a few minutes which is fine by me so I just asked for the regular one. The guy serving me and I didn’t know that there were more people waiting outside for waffle cones, the guy told me that they actually have waffle cones ready so I said okay. The lady told off the guy and looked annoyed at me for getting a waffle cone. I didn’t even force them to give me a waffle one?? So I happily said that it’s okay if they just give it to the ones waiting outside. The lady was looking at me upset like it was my fault???? She was nice to other elderly white customers so I’m not sure if she’s just racist or something. She even said thank you out loud to the other white customers who had regular cones instead. I mean, was it my fault that your staff gave me the waffle cone and said it was already available?! That lady could’ve handled the situation better without making anyone feel bad or awkward. I hope she wasn’t racist and was just really genuinely stressed or something. I didn’t like my experience here, I should’ve just passed by it. I don’t even know why...

Stepping into Better Acres Ice Cream in Victoria was an absolute delight! From the first spoonful, it was clear that their ice cream is really delicious and incredibly fresh. You can genuinely taste the good quality ingredients in every bite, which makes a huge difference. The staff was also wonderfully friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. I decided to try the Italian lemon ice cream, and it was simply fantastic. It's so interesting because you typically find lemon sorbet or sherbet, but this was actual lemon ice cream, and honestly, it might be the first time I've ever encountered it. The authenticity was further enhanced by what appeared to be actual lemon bits mixed throughout, adding a fantastic texture and burst of genuine lemon flavor. Better Acres is definitely a must-visit for any ice cream lover...

Seriously the BEST waffle cone I’ve ever had—no exaggeration.

Let me explain.

I’ve always been a cone hater. I prefer a bowl and a spoon, and I honestly don’t think I’ve ever chosen or paid for a waffle cone in my adult life.

But today, when I walked into this adorable little shop (which I’ve been to before—and loved the cup), I was hit with the sweet, nostalgic smell of freshly made waffle cones. Irresistible. We had to order them.

And wow—hands down the best waffle cone ever. Thin, perfectly crunchy with a bit of chew, and just incredibly flavorful.

We got the milk chocolate, salted cream & cookies, and strawberry—SO good. Every flavor was amazing.

I’m just so happy we have this gem of an ice cream shop downtown🩷
