DO NOT GO HERE, YOU RISK YOUR VEHICLE BEING TOWED BY ITOW! Today at 3 pm Nov 9, 2017 my mother, a senior citizen aged 70, went inside this location to meet up with her granddaughter for a meal. The grandaughter showed up and they both ordered. The granddaughter ate half her big mac only to find that there was no meat in the burger. She went up and mentioned to the staff that she ate half the burger before she realised that it was only a bun with the fixings. She laughed about it and they laughed as well. They replaced the burger. When it came time to leave, my mother noticed that her car was not there. She discovered by inquiry that it had been towed. The manager told her that he had it towed because she was not there in the building.A argument broke out as soon as my mother said that she was in the building. The manager was aggressive and defensive as he spewed out coldly that she was a LIAR because he checked the building asking patrons if anyone owned the red car. He also said that he checked the security camera before calling. (This leaves me to doubt this manager because it was not necessary to go to that extreme and check security cameras for a simple little issue to tow a vehicle- he knew he was lying and was caught). Furthermore the granddaughter said, of course we were here, I was the one with a burger without the meat-however because the manger was now involved the employees stayed silent and cold in fear of losing their job. However the security guard did confirm with the granddaughter that he had seen them both there. Later on my mother called the police who said they could do nothing and that she needed to call a lawyer as it is a civil case. The officer also said that a Tow truck driver can tow any vehicle they choose to tow when it is on private property and that they are within their right. My mother called my brother to pick her up at Mcdonald's; to give her a ride to pick up the impounded vehicle. While waiting (GET THIS ONE!) the TOW TRUCK DRIVER FROM ITOW RETURNS TO MCDONALDS TO TOW ANOTHER VEHICLE!? The granddaughter went up to the driver and asked why he towed her grandmother's vehicle. He said for the same reason as the manager gave. "she was not in the building" Granddaughter said, "yes she was here because I meet her here and saw the car between 3:30 and 3:45. The tow truck driver called her a LIAR and said the vehicle was towed before the time she came down. Now the manager is calling them a liar and the tow truck driver. However the evidence is in the security guard, the staff who served the burgerless burger and LET'S ALL LOOK AT THE SECURITY TAPE, because the manger is lying about seeing it. They were clearly there. My mother was frightened by this episode of aggression and lack of respect, the granddaughter was intimidated and broke into tears and my mother had to pay $150.00 dollars to get...
Read moreConsistently incorrect orders or snappy staff that don't listen and repeat incorrectly. Tried a maple cheddar crispy chicken burger through drive-through on January 9, 2020 at 2:34 PM. Use the buy one get one free breakfast sandwich coupon but was charged eight dollars at the first window and it wasn't caught. At the receive window I again asked why for three items (one was buy one get one free breakfast sandwich) the other maple cheddar crispy chicken burger I was charged $18 this clerk did not notice the overcharge either. Arrived home to find there was no crispy fried onions on the burger as advertised and there was no maple honey sauce but it was slathered in mayonnaise which I had to wipe off repeatedly to eat it. Called the restaurant January 9th to ask to have the order made correctly and the phone rang and rang and rang. Called the restaurant January 10 afternoon and was told Anthony was working manager I left my number nothing again. Called tonight just rings and rings and rings. This is not that busy a site as I live two blocks from here and go in frequently while walking there is no excuse for not returning calls there is no excuse for not picking up the phone so I've escalated it to McDonald's Canada website. Truly despicable to be ignored when McDonald's rely so heavily on the good neighbors...
Read moreI work as a courier, and bathroom breaks are sometimes very difficult to fit in to my hectic schedule. I happened to be near this McDonald's (and I really needed to go) so I decided to kill two birds with one stone: I'd use the facilities, and then get a coffee and a quick meal afterwards that I could take back into my car so that I could be on my way.
Not to be. A girl who appeared to be some sort of manager—clipboard and all—very snottily informed me that the store policy is that people need to make a purchase before using the washroom. Now don't get me wrong, I understand why that policy is in place, as the area is notoriously bad for transients and drug users. But here I am, a busy man, well dressed and quite clearly not there to do drugs in the bathroom, and I'm being turned away very rudely by McDonald's staff in some sort of power move. Do they not train their managers to understand that discretion is the most important part of leadership?
I think it's very unsanitary to bring my meal into the washroom with me before I leave to get back into my car, so I left and took my business elsewhere. Terrible...
