Had an incredible lunch here of their salad that had orzo and tahini dressing, complete with little flowers on top, paired with a hand pie that tasted just like a dumpling, and a chai latte. It was one of the best meals I’ve eaten out in a long time. The music was also very nice. Very small place, only a few chairs with two long tables. Also felt weird walking through the kitchen to get to the bathroom, but hey, you gotta make the most of a space.

I can't say enough good things about the chef at @torch_song_cafe . The plates are amazingly created with complimentary flavours that tickle the tastebuds, using fresh and homemade ingredients. I eat here frequently and try to regularly go through as many of the menu items as I possibly can. Up on the block today are the halloumi, and ham and apple sandwiches. So satisfying and delicious.

Amazing coffee shop off the beaten path. Torch Song rapidly became our go to coffee spot for our morning coffee. The coffee is delicious and the service is welcoming. As your coffee is being made you can peruse the vinyl for your favourite artist. The food is amazing. I had the toast and jam one day and the breakfast sandwich another. It was excellent.

Pros: Good pastries. I had a butter tart and it was the definition of ✨dank✨. Large vinyl selection (you know, for your daily morning record purchase) featuring many bangers. Good book selection. Bright and sunny and in a cool spot! Inclusive.

Cons: Limited selection of expensive food. I’ve been here several times and the first few times I just left without getting anything because I was apparently invisible to the staff (I’m not assertive and you never know what people have on their shoulders, so no hard feeling). The seating is terrible and is not suited for hanging out for any period of time 15mins (especially true for the larger folks among us, haha).

Overall: It’s like a giant kitchen with a tiny bar that’s also a book store and a record shop. Interesting, sunny place to stop in for a tasty but expensive bite and a coffee, but not a place to sit and chat/work....

Incredibly aesthetic and bright little coffee shop. The people working there are kind and welcoming, the music is loud and fun and there’s a whole lotta books and records on display. Not a lot of space to sit, unfortunately.. the space could use less records and more cozy seating options, in my opinion. They had some fresh pastries and some food options but considering we had little ones and couldn’t sit comfortably, we decided to only try the coffee. Hubs and I both had an oat vanilla latte and the bill was over twenty dollars. A bit pricey considering we were charged for both the milk and the syrup. The latte was delicious and the vibes were nice, we were grateful for...

I’ve become a regular here because the food is SO good. The menu is seasonal and so fresh. I recommend: autumn salad with fennel and radicchio if you can - it’s phenomenal!! daily soup - it’s always delish handpies are to die for!!

The layout is open concept so you can see the chef cooking your food fresh to order and also the barista making your drink. They roast the beans in town too - so rad.

I was surprised to see it’s also a record and book shop so you can browse, eat, drink, and listen to some good tunes.

Really great people. The food brought me in, the values/integrity/staff kept me coming back. Love this place and appreciate the...
