Wannawafel — Restaurant in Victoria

From a waffel place that only sells waffels I expected a little more. The place was absolutely not busy. Compared to other places, the guy was rather unfriendly. I picked a waffel which he did not prepare in that moment. Instead he warmed up an older waffel which he made in the morning. I was super disappointed because it was only slightly warm and wobbly. For 5$ I can expect a fresh waffel which should not take longer than 30 seconds. I assume he niticed that I am a tourist and won't come back anyhow...or maybe it was the missing tip...a concept I don't understand for take-away food. Can't recommend this place at all and don't understand the...

Thank you for your feedback. If we visit Victoria again, we will stop by and give it another shot. It must be good because there's always a line. It just wasn't my lucky day.

We were so excited to try this place and in the morning we headed out. The place was late to open and we got there while the tables were being put out. First time writing a google review, but this place was amazing! The waffles were soft, sweet, with enough crunch to make it really really delicious — especially in combination with the ice cream! The owner was absolutely the sweetest person. He recommended the waffle with ice cream because it was hot out, and was genuinely the nicest guy you’ll meet. He was very friendly, personable, tentative, and I had a really lovely conversation with him. Came for the waffles, and left with a smile...
