Donair Station — Restaurant in West Jasper Place

this place is... ok. i feel really, really bad for only giving it 3-stars but, for me, i really can't give it more than that... i had been wanting to try this place out for a while now but always end up ordering from my regular donair spot because finding a good donair is actually surprisingly difficult. after finally having eaten here, i honestly probably wouldn't go back.

first off, my order was a chicken schawarma combo w/ fries and a jumbo donair, both with sweet sauce. the food isn't bad by any means but it was also not super great or anything memorable, in my opinion. as everyone knows, the sweet sauce pretty much makes or breaks a good donair and i found this one a little on the bland side with the meat being a little under-seasoned as well. again, it wasn't horrible or anything, it just wasn't that great compared to other spots here. while i was eating it, i found myself wishing that i had just ordered from my regular spot more than once.

the one thing that i think really killed it for me was the price, though. it's definitely more on the expensive side in terms of value and how much food you're getting. it ended up costing me around 35$ and i was able to finish everything without feeling super stuffed after. at my other spot, i usually spend only about 22-24$ and i'm absolutely stuffed for the day and have left-overs to boot.

in the end, while 3-stars is really low, it seems appropriate to me. the value isn't there and the taste isn't quite there...

My friend & I stopped over here on a Sunday afternoon craving some donairs. We found this spot on google and decided to check them out.

As a Northsider & lifelong donair lover, I can confidently say, Donair Station is a great pitstop if you're looking for top-quality donairs near West Edmonton Mall.

The donair here was made with FRESH ingredients, vibrant greens & reds from the vegetables, an overlooked quality lesser shops miss. The french fries were large, well-seasoned, crispy, & plentiful (we barely were able to finish).

The interior is VERY underrated. The seating is very unique, opting for comfy leather sofa's and chairs, instead of painful & dull metal chairs. This adds to the dine-in experience.

We ended up paying $26 for 2 people. Which was 2 Donair Combos with Cheese or $13 per a person. Very affordable & fair prices for everyone.

My only small criticism, is the bathroom could be improved. There were no paper towels in the dispenser & the toilet seemed to not work efficiently. That may have been only 1 of the rooms though. So no point deductions there.

Overall, check our Donair Station for great food, nice service, and comfortable dine-in experience.

Tristan Latvala Ordered from this restaurant off skip the dishes 24.00 for a jumbo donair combo with fries and a 710ML coke-cola. Restaurant forgots my jumbo donair from the combo only sent french fries and drink and my girlfriends food came complete. Contact skip for refund okay. Call restaurant to ask what has happened. Worker/owner awnsered acknowledged mistake apologized offered to deliver to me personally I said no its okay ill get the skip refund and order again. He says okay. End of conversation. Within 10 mins of me getting the credits from skip and waiting the 3-5 mins for them to be applied to my account t I attempted to re order my jumbo donair. HE CLOSED THE RESTAURANT FOR DELIVER ON SKIP AFTER ACKNOWLEDGED THAT I WAS GOING TO RE-ORDER THE DONAIR! Call back to the restaurant to ask why he closed it and he says oh we are very busy very busy! I REPLY why would you close the restaurant for skip deliver after I said I was going to re order? Then because he said he would make and deliver i ask if he would and he replys to me saying "oh my god". Is this a joke you forgot my food. I have never had such bad service. Got my refund but non-theless the situation was handled completely incorrectly...
