Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kathmando, an exquisite Indian restaurant that left me completely enchanted. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an ambiance that transported me straight to the heart of India. This review aims to capture the essence of my unforgettable experience at Kathmandu.

First and foremost, the culinary adventure at Kathmandu is an absolute delight for the senses. The menu boasts a diverse selection of authentic Indian dishes, each crafted with care and bursting with flavor. Whether you're a fan of traditional classics or crave innovative fusion creations, Kathmandu has something to please every palate.

The starters alone are reason enough to visit. The samosas, crispy and perfectly spiced, were a revelation. The tangy tamarind chutney that accompanied them added a delightful contrast of sweet and sour flavors. The succulent chicken tikka, marinated to perfection, was tender and infused with aromatic spices that transported me to the streets of Delhi. And let's not forget the fragrant and fluffy garlic naan, the ideal accompaniment to any dish.

Moving on to the main course, Kathmandu truly excels in its commitment to authenticity. The butter chicken, rich and creamy, was an absolute highlight. The tender chicken pieces were bathed in a velvety tomato-based sauce, delicately spiced to perfection. The aromatic biryanis, bursting with fragrant rice and tender meat, were a symphony of flavors that left me craving for more. And for the vegetarians, the paneer tikka masala, with its luscious tomato gravy and succulent cottage cheese, was an absolute winner.

What sets Kathmandu apart from other Indian restaurants is the attention to detail and the use of high-quality ingredients. Each dish is expertly prepared by skilled chefs who truly understand the intricacies of Indian cuisine. The dedication to authenticity shines through in every bite, and you can taste the passion that goes into every dish.

To complement the culinary excellence, the service at Kathmandu is exceptional. The staff members are knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to recommend dishes or provide assistance. They take great care to ensure that your dining experience is memorable and go above and beyond to cater to individual preferences.

Lastly, the ambiance at Kathmandu is a testament to the restaurant's commitment to creating an immersive dining experience. The vibrant decor, adorned with beautiful Indian artwork, creates an inviting and cozy atmosphere. Combined with soft lighting and soothing background music, it sets the perfect stage for an unforgettable meal.

In conclusion, Kathmandu is a culinary gem that deserves to be celebrated. The remarkable flavors, impeccable service, and captivating ambiance make it a must-visit Indian restaurant. Whether you're a seasoned lover of Indian cuisine or a curious food adventurer, Kathmandu will take you on a flavorful journey that you won't soon forget. I can't recommend this restaurant enough and I eagerly look forward to my next visit...

Customer WiFi: Washrooms: Power outlets: no Pet friendly: no Parking: free parking lot

Food/Drinks: portion sizes were decent with good amount of protein to sauce ratio. Still don't understand why this is the norm but you will have to order your starch separately as the dishes do not come with it.

Would highly recommend the fish pakora since it's one of the most well done ones I've ever had. Batter is thin and light and the fish was cooked just right so it was juicy and melted in your mouth. It was delicate yet hearty at the same time a odd yet welcome sensation. And the seasonings paired with the sauce was fantastic. I found that the lamb was a little on the tough side and could have been cooked a little longer but overall all of our sauces were seasoned really nicely (we ordered medium heat) and very well balanced. At the end of the meal we were told that they had just finished a batch of their desserts and asked if we would like one. We tried it and it did not disappoint. Fairly airy and just the right amount of sweetness.

Service: our server was really friendly but for some reason stood really far away from us so I didn't actually get to talk to him face to face. Very thorough with the order and changed out our plates between courses. Would have been nice if our water container was kept full thou.

Atmosphere: very open space and a little chilly. Temperature wise as well as decor. Not as cozy and welcoming as other Indian restaurants I've been to when you first walk through the door.

We have been going to this place for more than 3 years and never had any problem at all. For the Last couple of times we had a big problem with GUY with cap who works in the front. He has no manners at all how to talk with customers.

First of all he never remembers the order and always gets wrong items for us. It’s really big pain to deal with this trouble when you just want to eat nicely. But still somehow we manage to continue with you guys.

Secondly, He can’t speak english well so we were trying to talk to him in Hindi so he doesn’t have to get uncomfortable.

Rather than helping us with our order. He spoke too rude with us and asked us i don’t speak Hindi And I can’t help you with all. And he showed really bad attitude. He could have said that politely but bro chose to show attitude.

If they want someone to speak to them in english then they should really hire some professionals who actually knows how to speak English fluently.

I really recommend owners to take serious action on him otherwise he will keep loosing all the customers because of this inappropriate behaviour.

They lost their loyal customers and a lots of other people we recommended to come here.

Again ,really big thumbs down for...

First time visiting Kathmandu Rasoi. Initially surprised as this used to be a family-favourite Thai place, but the new restaurant did not disappoint. Our server was friendly and informative while navigating Nepalese section of the menu that was new to me. We had the vegetable samosas, tandoori fish, both steamed and fried vegetable momo, shahi veggie korma, chana masala, garlic naan and coconut rice. Everything was rich and flavourful and the tandoori fish was a big hit. We had some people sensitive to spicy food with us and the kitchen was great at keeping the dishes mild but still flavourful for them. Both the Khmer and ras malai for dessert were worth trying. I also enjoyed the masala tea and would recommend it to anyone who likes chai. I will definitely be back and would consider ordering takeout from here. Other people seem to have caught on to this as there is a steady stream of delivery drivers picking up meals. I would suggest sitting away from the door if you want to avoid the flow of people in and out. Next time I will be trying one of the Hakka dishes for sure!
