A hundred billion infinity stars out of 5!!! Best bakery I've ever had the pleasure of visiting
The staff here are simply fantastically wonderfully amazingly awesome people!!! They have a fantastic selection of a huge variety of different baked goods, with free samples to try something new that I instantly fall in love with and have to immediately buy! I always look forward to talking with the super friendly staff while they fill my (in my opinion) ridiculously long orders as I feel the need to say yes to having at least one of everything! Yes, they're just that good! ALL THE EXCLAMATION MARKS!!!
My absolute number 1 top favourite things I need to buy every time they're available and I see them are the fruit scones (THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH WAYS TO DESCRIBE HOW DELICIOUS THESE ARE! YOU NEED TO TRY THEM! THEY TASTE JUST LIKE HOME! Only thing to keep in mind is that you need to call 24 hours ahead to special order the fruit scones before your visit), the double chocolate scones (Imagine the taste of chocolate. Now imagine that taste of chocolate exploding in your mouth, absolute heaven), the lemon blueberry scones, the apricot bread, the cinnamon bread, the garlic sourdough bread, the chia fruit bread, the pumpernickel...
Read moreNew location in Winnipeg, as well as the only location, so far. I went for the first time on a Tuesday afternoon at about 2:30 and it was busy! Almost out the door busy and the store standing room is tiny. There were only two people serving guests at this time and they needed more. They have two cash registers, but they could have 3-4 workers collecting orders and 1-2 people taking payment, it would make the waiting time much shorter. I ended up waiting 15 minutes to place my order, which is fine, it was worth the wait. I ordered a full size whole wheat loaf of bread and some grain buns, it was all good and prices are what you would expect to pay for fresh baked breads. They have specialty breads that cost more but you can’t expect anything less. Never tried the scones or any sweet deserts as I felt they were priced high, but they looked amazing and for a treat once in a while it would probably be worth it. I will certianly be going back as I would love to get the cinnomin loaf to make french toast and try a few diffrent types of their breads. Staff were very friendly even when under such stress of long line ups....
Read moreI felt the need to update my 5* review now that I've been coming here for ages.
Honestly I couldn't be happier with a business than I am with Cob's. The staff is SUPER friendly and helpful, and it's a pleasure to deal with them.
The product is absolutely top-shelf. I've never had more delicious, fresher tasting bread. If you've been buying your bread from the grocery store, I get it, it's so easy to just pick it up there, but you owe it to yourself to hit up Cob's and just TRY the difference. It is night and day. The garlic cheddar sourdough Vienna will change your life.
Now... the sweet stuff.
The cinnamon buns are completely out of this world. The scones are delicious, and the croissants immaculate.
You can even stop in here for an amazing take out lunch, theyu make mini-pizzas, savory croissants... SO MUCH GOOD STUFF.
Skip the Tim Horton's freezer bag food, and go across the street to Cob's. ...
