Cora has the friendliest staff of any restaurant I've ever been to, and it's food is in the top-two.

Unlike most restaurants where you usually don't see the manager, at Cora, the manager remembers me and greets me every time I come, which is about 1-2 times a month. She even remembers that I often start with a mochaccino, and that my Dad wants his coffee after he's ordered, but not before. When I go to Cora, I don't feel like a customer, I feel like a friend.

Cora's food is incredible. Their scrambled eggs and waffles are hands-down second to none. The eggs have perfect colour, flavour and texture, and their waffles are incredibly fluffy and delicious. I'm usually very picky at restaurants, but their menu is full of fantastic options, way more than I've ever liked at a restaurant before. I call it my favourite book, lol. Their "sweet 'n salty" page is my personal favourite, which offers amazing combinations of both a crepe or half-waffle topped with fruit, and eggs and bacon, all of it incredibly delicious. They give some of everything, and I really recommend giving them a try.

The atmosphere is extremely family-friendly, which depends on the person on if that's right for you, but there are never kids screaming or babies crying, so I don't think anyone could be that bothered by it.

My sole complaint is that their bathroom gives no indication on if the door is locked, which makes me a bit uncomfortable, but it is definitely locked, so it's not a huge problem. I'd say it really says a lot about Cora that that is my sole complaint, lol.

I STRONGLY recommend giving Cora a try if you haven't yet, I'd hate to...

service is quite poor here. takes an extremely long time for a waiter to attend to you. plus, after they attend to you and give you food, they barely come back. i was there and needed things like a napkin and water and was trying so hard to make eye contact with one of the servers. why don’t they come up to you and ask you frequently if you need anything????? they just serve you food and leave then the next time they come is for the bill, and if you want something from them you have to try to call them or make eye contact. this is just crazy. i couldn’t enjoy my meal ‘cause i kept turning my head around to get the attention of one of the servers ‘cause i needed a cup of water. then at the end, one of the servers came to me and said “ just to let you know, we close in 20 minutes”. well of course! i know that! i have been trying to get a cup of water and pay my bill since!! am i supposed to walk up to the front to ask for water then pay for the meal? could have just easily walked out of there without even paying since no one was even giving me any attention or asking me if i am ready to pay. other restaurants have people ask you if you need anything frequently. i was trying to leave for a long time but literally no server came. one server was cleaning the tables and i kept waiting for her to look at me or to glance my way in particular. i even called out once, but nothing. i am very certain restaurants are supposed to have one waiter for a table but i don’t know what my waiter looked like or where the person went. just awful to be honest. besides that, the food was nice i guess. the smoothie...

I love Cora's restaurants. I truly believe that my experience at the new St Vital location may have been a one off. Regardless, I do need to express that it was extremely dissapointing. I understand that this location opened only 2 weeks ago and staff are training, which I can appreciate. I would recommend to go to this restaurant much later once its established and organized, as currently, it is quite unorganized. This is not against the staff. We can tell that they are doing the best that they can. In our experience, we waited 15 minutes for a table (which is alright) however we waited 1.5 hour for our food. During this time although we asked twice, my brother did not get a glass of water while we waited. We were checked on twice. Our food arrived after much waiting and mine was cold. Our server was very professional considering that it was a very difficult situation. She apologized several times, got a new order and offered free drink vouchers (with purchase of something else) and 10% off our meals. Unfortunately when I received my new order, it was a reduced portion and without the fruit. The rest of my family had finished eating and I was left to eat by myself. 15 minutes later, I was interrupted as I was eating. I was being asked to pay for my meal. The staff needed to clock out before going over their 8hr shift. Overall, I should not have paid...

We won't rush back here. We've wanted to try Cora's for ages and finally tried it. It wasn't bad but any means, but for the same price we prefer other breakfast-style restaurants. Our server was fantastic and very attentive. The decor is very basic and simple but was clean and not run down at all. We both got skillets and don't regret those choices. I got the burger in a skillet. Nice but very dry (even though I ordered the egg as soft poached) soft so I ordered a side of hollandaise sauce which I believe was an added $3. That improved it loads. There is a yummy big Mac style sauce on it, but not enough. Hubby got the Halloumi-Chorizo skillet. Very tasty. No regrets. The menu is very thorough and things have unique names.

Great to have a venue dedicated to breakfast and lunch in St. Vital. The portions are huge and ingredients of good quality. Maybe almost too much food as neither of us finished our plates. The meals are a step up from other franchise breakfast diners, but a tier or two still below a boutique breakfast diner. A nice mid option. Staff friendly and helpful too. Atmosphere, at least during busy or peak hours is rough. Tables sticky from quick turn around, children everywhere, tons of noise, and it gets a bit hot and crowded feeling. But once it empties out a bit, it’s pretty comfortable inside. Overall great option for breakfast, especially in an area of town that needs it and if you have an appetite for portion

Actually, there are not many restaurants which are upon 4 stars in Winnipeg, this brunch is the one. First time here and enjoy the awsome brunch with friends. Do love the Eggs Benedict. The sauce on it is great taste, not too thick nor too salt, just be there. Must eat them quickly, colder eggs will lose their soul. And the chips, good and full, I can't stop eating though. All the fruit is fresh and enough. Their styles are lovely. Probably, ladies would be into the fruit. Last, waiter and waitress are helpful and kind, they deserve the tips, totally. The manager replied some questions about this restaurant's history and some foods' interesting knowledge. Will be back in future, definitely.
