Eva's Gelato & Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Winnipeg

I went the other day with my partner and we asked for a fresh pint of gelato because well we didn’t want a pint that has been sitting in the freezer for who knows how long. The employee started getting very mad at us, and wouldn’t explain to us why they couldn’t do it for us and since we still didn’t understand other two employees jumped in and because very rude to us. Later on we also tried to purchase scoops but the rude employee left and never came back to serve us.

Other than the poor customer service experience, the gelato was still amazing and we would go back however we don’t want to be disrespected like that again.

PS: never ever have all your employees talk all at once. That was the rudest thing I’ve ever encountered in my experience in...

Visiting Winnipeg and came here twice in one week I loved it so much. The gelato is sooooo smooth and melts like butter in your mouth. The only thing I would say is that the flavours don't always relate to what you actually get - my first time I ordered coconut extreme which was really chocolate ice cream with coconut in it. Delicious but not what I expected. The second time I had banana split and salted caramel. The banana split was great but the salted caramel actually tasted minty for some reason. Loses one star because the default payment option at the till is to include tips and I felt like I got stared down for putting in 0. I know I'm not from around here guys but please either do something to justify the tip or pay your workers...

I used to go there often when I was living in Winnipeg. Whoever brain is behind the conception of the flavors and texture; I love your creative and "culinary" intelligence. Great taste, great flavors, great textures. I remember the banana split favor one that had these little tinny delicate chocolate rolls inside instead of chocolate chips and that was so brilliant, crackle in such a satisfying way and then melts in your mouth faster. Such a small detail that actually makes a difference than eating a hard frozen big chocolate chips. Everything seems to be in the right amount and you can really taste the flavors.
